Shereally wasn’t kidding when she said there was plenty more to do, but right now allIwant is to rest my hand over her stomach and kiss her senseless.Thisis the best newsI’veever gotten, andIcan’t believe it’s happening so soon.Ilift from my chair and immediately walk over to her, the rest of my food forgotten, and lift her into my arms bridal style.

Hergiggles thatIlove so much echo through the night asIcarry her inside the house.Whenwe get to my room,Igently sit on the bed, and kneel to the ground in front of her.Irub small circles over her stomach, then lean forward and press a soft kiss to it.

“Areyou happy?”Georgiaasks.

Isnap my gaze up to her, catching the shine in her eyes, and pull her closer to me until our foreheads are touching. “I’mmore than happy about this,Georgia.Thisis the best newsI’veever gotten. We’regoing to be parents!”

Shenods. “Weare.”

Thetears are falling down her face now andIwipe them away with the pad of my thumb, then lie her back on the bed.

“Whatare you doing?” she asks.

Ismirk at her. “WhatI’vebeen wanting to do sinceIsaw you in this sexy nightgown.”WhenIlift it over her head, she doesn’t hesitate to lift her arms in the air and help me remove it. “Lieback and enjoy, baby.Thisis all about you.”

Herbreath hitches whenIget between her legs and my dick grows at the sound.

SinceIcouldn’t sleep,Iended up going to the second floor and gauging which room we could use as a nursery, while using another as a playroom when the baby gets older.Nowit’s morning, andI’vealready called the staff to let them know the office will be closed today — there’s no wayI’mworking after the newsGeorgiagave me.

Iwalk into the bedroom, kneeling on the floor by the bed and running my fingers throughGeorgia’shair, and she smiles at me with her eyes closed. “Couldget used to this.”Sheangles her head closer to me and relaxes against the mattress.

“Comewith me?”

“Afew more minutes,” she demands.

Ismile at her. “Afew more minutes, nothing more.”

I’mexcited to show her whatI’mthinking and get her reaction.I’vealready got an interior designer on speed dial, that way neither of us really have to worry about doing the heavy things.Theonly thingIplan on doing myself is painting the walls, whichGeorgiacan’t do — somethingIfound out last night after researching pregnancy.

“Let’sgo, baby,”Isay, pressing a kiss to her temple before helping her sit up.

Chapter29

Georgia

I’msurprised whenBishopleads us up the steps to the second floor of the house, an area he has yet to take me to.Thelast few weeks have been nice together, getting to know each other even more than we already did, andI’mexcited for the life we are going to have together.Itmight seem too fast, butIcan’t help how excitedIam to welcome our first baby into the world.

It’snot thatBishop’spurposely kept me from going up to the second floor, but everything we can do together is all on the first floor or outside. So,Inever felt the need to go snooping up here.Hereaches the first door on our right, opening it with a nervous smile, and gesturing for me to go in ahead of him.

Heprobably senses my confusion at the empty space, because he chuckles and says, “Don’tworry, there’s a vision.Iwas up all night thinking about it.”

Bishopwalks ahead of me, pointing to different areas of the room and telling me where he thinks the baby's things could go.Myheart warms at hearing how excited he is for this, andIlisten to everything he’s saying with a big smile.

“So, what do you think?” he asks after taking a deep breath.

Iclose the distance between us, my eyes stinging with tears that are threatening to fall, and nod my agreement. “Ithink it all sounds amazing, andIcan’t wait to get it all done.”

Hescratches the back of his head. “That’sthe thing,Iwas thinking we could get an interior designer to come in and get it done for us.”

“Noway,Iwant to do this ourselves.”Notonly is it an important moment in our lives, butIlove decorating rooms like this and shopping for baby things. “Isthat okay?”

Henods with a smile. “Ifthat’s what will make you happy, of course.Ididn’t want to have you do too much while pregnant.”

Iwave a hand at him. “Don’tworry about that,Iwon’t do super strenuous things.I’mthinkingIdo the shopping, you do the building.”

Bishopchuckles. “Puttingme to work already?”
