Noah stands and holds out the bouquet in front of her. “We thought you might be upset after speaking with the lawyer, so Dad wanted to be here for you to cheer you up.”

My eyes find Grant’s as he rises from the steps and shoves his hands in his pockets, a small smirk tugging at the corner of his mouth.

“This is so thoughtful.” I walk toward the porch and take the flowers from Noah, pulling her into a hug. “Thank you.”

“You’re welcome.” She pulls back and tugs my hand. “Come on. Dad is going to cook in your kitchen tonight because this is your house.”

I smile. “I love that idea.”

As we head inside, Grant nudges me with his shoulder. “How did it go?”

“She’s going to contact Neil’s lawyer. I have to send her the calls and texts, as well as the footage from the surveillance camera.”

“Guess that creepy camera came in handy, huh?”

I chuckle. “Yes, it did. You’re right every once in a while.”

“I’m just glad you told your lawyer what he’s been doing.” Grant stops and lets Noah go ahead of us into the kitchen. “You deserve to stay in this house for as long as you want to.”

“I wouldn’t want to move now anyway. I kind of like being across the street from you guys.”

“You should just move in with us,” Noah calls from the other room, clearly able to hear everything we’re saying.

I bite my lip to keep from smiling. It’s sweet that Noah wants that to happen, but it’s way too soon to move in with each other.

Only Grant doesn’t tell Noah that. He presses his lips against my forehead and follows her into the kitchen.

“Full house, bitches.”

We all groan and toss our cards onto the table.

Mitch cackles as he sweeps the pile of chips over to his side of the table. “Don’t hate the player, hate the game.”

Jason scrubs his hand over his face. “Dude, no one says that anymore.”

Mitch shrugs. “What’s the lingo now? What are the kids saying these days?”

I point a finger at Jason. “Do not give him any new slang to butcher. I’m still mad at Noah for teaching him the wordbussin’.”

Trent chuckles. “Where is Noah tonight? I was looking forward to watching her school her old man in poker.”

“She’s at the neighbor’s house across the street.” I glance at my phone. “She should be back soon.”

The neighbor’s house sounds easier than anything else. I don’t know what to call Elena, and anything more would raise suspicion among the guys. I haven’t told them about her because I’m not sure what exactly to say.

As if my thoughts conjured her, the sound of the front door opening has me on my feet.

“There she is.” Trent stands and opens his arms wide as Noah runs into the dining room and slams into him. “I was just asking about you.”

“I was baking cookies at Lenny’s house.” She pulls away and gestures to the hallway. “Len, come in and meet my dad’s friends.”

Panic clenches my stomach in a vise grip.

Here the fuck we go.
