I continue, “Most of it relies on getting the spell off Ryan which requires a weaver. We should all keep our eyes and ears open at the ball for any word on Killian or weavers in general. There will be a lot of influential and powerful people there.”

“Sounds good. I should tell you all, Ryan wants to go by Rion now. It is his birth name and while it’s similar to Ryan, I agree that it’s a step away from the taint his brother has put on the other name.”

I nod without comment. His wishes aren’t at the top of my priorities, but I have a feeling this also has to do with Anna’s feelings on the matter.

“What if we give him a nickname? Cocksucker?” Griffyn suggests.

Anna glares at him but I can see the slight smile on her lips.

Normally, I find Griffyn’s games and constant taunting of others tiresome, but I hate it a little less when it’s directed at him.

“I think we should let him out,” Anna says firmly, looking at each of the guys before her imploring eyes land on me.

“No,” Blaze answers before I can.

The answer would have been the same.

“He’s not a danger to us,” Anna protests.

Felix rests his chin on her shoulder. “Kitten, they’re not saying no to hurt you. We just can’t be sure or take that risk.”

I can tell he’s softening her up.

“As soon as we have undone the spell on him, he’s free. We will know if there are any other enchantments and if he’s willing to help us as it seems.”

Her words are final before she pulls away from Felix and sits at the table. I don’t protest, we can address that when it happens.

“So, I was going to call Mike at the bar and tell him I won’t be in for a while, basically quit, since we have all this going on, but should I wait until we have a lead?” She asks.

I never forgot she had a job, but it did fall to the bottom of things I’m worried about. It’s not like it wouldn’t be hard for her to find a new one when all of this is over. I would guarantee it.

“No, you should still quit. We can’t be worrying about things like that when the time comes to act,” I say.

Blaze frowns but doesn’t object.

Anna nods like that’s what she expected.

“Are you sure Anna? I know that job is important to you.” Felix grabs her hand, making her turn and look at him.

“I just don’t want to let Mike down. It’s better if I let him know ahead of time instead of just bailing. This is important to me.”

Felix smiles, giving her a quick peck.

“Don’t worry Vixen, we will find another way for you to punish the trash of the world,” Griffyn adds.

Her eyes light up. “Don’t worry. I haven’t forgotten my purpose, I just know Killian needs to be dealt with most of all. If we get some along the way, it’s a bonus.”

Right, her extracurricular activities at the bar.

Felix puts a hand on her chin, staring deep into her eyes. “No feeding on anyone else.”

There’s a growl behind his words. His snow leopard is at the surface and possessive.

“I won’t,” she whispers.

His eyes take in the rest of us in the room. “No one outside this room.”

I’m surprised he included anyone else considering he’s her mate. As much as I want to experience that connection, I can never let her have my blood.
