“I got the text,” Blaze says.

I look up from my spot on the couch between Felix and Griffyn.

Blaze is clenching his fist and staring right at me. I stand up and move over to him, putting a hand on his arm.

I try not to get distracted by the sheer size of his muscles compared to my hand. They’re ungodly big.

“What text?” I ask.

“For the fight. It’s tonight. We need to leave soon,” Blaze explains.

I could use a few more details but I’m sure Aksel will get them out of him later.

“Okay, we knew this was coming. Let’s go get ready.”

Blaze grabs my wrist. “I don’t want you coming. I’m worried.”

I give him a weak smile. “I get that Blaze but I’m not letting you go alone.”

“It’s not like the other fight we went to. It’s more dangerous and worse people.”

“We will be there to protect her. You can trust us Blaze,” Felix says.

I nod in agreement. “And I’m not weak, I can handle myself too.”

Blaze’s jaw ticks but he nods in agreement.

It feels like all I do around here is force agreements from Aksel and Blaze.

“Get ready. We leave in an hour.”

Blaze walks away leaving me with Felix and Griffyn.

“I almost feel bad forcing him into this, but it’s for the best, right?” I ask them.

They both stand up and come over to me.

“It’s always better to be together.” Felix presses a kiss against my temple.

“There’s strength in numbers,” Griffyn adds.

I steel myself. “Then let’s get dressed.”
