"Oh god! Ethan." I shriek as I feel his bulge stretches my walls, making my vision hazy and misty.

"You, okay?" His voice rings in my ears like a sweet melody.

"I’m in heaven," I say as I tip my head backward.

He begins moving, thrusting in slowly, then faster, until the momentum becomes comfortable for both of us. I pull him close to me, aching for his proximity, and begin kissing him wildly, moving my hips rhythmically until we climax simultaneously.

Neither of us moves, and we stay the way we are, in the same position, reminiscing in each other's touch. Because the second we move away from each other and put distance between us, the boundaries become blurred, and walls are built again. I don’t think I want that, so I hold onto Ethan, and he does, too, until we don’t anymore.

Anightmarewakesmefrom my sleep, and I lift myself from the bed in shock and slowly open my eyes, rubbing them to remove any leftover rest. I stretch my arms and let out a big yawn. "That was one hell of a night," I whisper to myself.

I glance over at Ethan, who is still in his deep sleep. I lay back next to him as the morning's beautiful light glistens through the transparent curtains of his penthouse, soaking up the lingering warmth of our private time. I’m secure and satisfied with his warm body against mine. Our relationship has been strengthened by the sharing of something lovely yesterday.

After enjoying Ethan's warmth for a while, I finally gather enough willpower to get up. I put on some clothes back on to shield my body from the sun's rays and make my way to the restroom to freshen myself up.

As I come out, Ethan is still snoring. We went to sleep late last night, so he may be tired. I let him sleep while I check my phone for any new notifications. As I scroll down on the useless messages from the ad companies for my art, I find one that’s unusual. It's from Anna, my best friend. It's been ages since we last contacted each other.

Anna, who I first met in high school, has a compelling presence. Her laughter could light up any room, and her hazel eyes twinkled with mischief. She naturally made anyone feel at ease, thanks to her flowing chestnut hair and heart-melting grin. I could confide in Anna my darkest secrets because of her compassionate personality and unwavering loyalty. Together, we have been through both thick and thin, and I have always found strength in her unfailing support.

"Hey, Babe. How are you?" her message says.

"I’m good. How are you, Anna? Long time no see," I reply.

I receive another message from her. "I’m good, Olivia. I want to meet up with you ASAP."

I ponder on her message for a while. We haven’t met up for a long time. Why is she so eager to meet me now? I’m suddenly occupied with thousands of questions, but I push them aside. After all, Anna is my best friend.

I start texting her a reply. "Yeah, sure. Is everything alright?!"

"No, nothing is alright right now. We need to meet now!" her reply reads.

After her message, I get tense. My stomach gargles due to its emptiness, making the worry even worse.

"Okay, where are we meeting?" I reply.

"You remember the coffee shop we used to go to? I hope you do. Let's meet there."

"Okay, sure," I reply.

I dress myself in a casual pink t-shirt, tight leather leggings, and heels. I gaze at myself in the mirror, gently patting my hair to a comfortable position. I notice in the mirror's reflection that Ethan has finally woken up.

"Hey…" he starts, giving a big yawn. "Where are you going, beautiful?" he continues.

"I’m going to meet my friend, Anna, at the coffee shop," I say.

"Do you want me to drop you off?" he asks hesitantly.

"No, thank you, Ethan." I inch in closer, kissing his lips softly. "No need to drop me off, baby. I can go alone," I continue.

"Okay, take care," he says as he goes back to sleep, yanking the blanket back on his face.

New York's bustling streets never fail to amaze me. The busy metropolis can be heaven on earth but also a pain in the ass. I walk to the nearest bus station but struggle to find any bus. I sit on the nearest bench, almost making my way back to sleep, as a stranger shakes my shoulders to wake me up.

"The bus is here," she says.
