He faces me. "I was proud of our friendship, but you have tainted it, and I'm never going to forgive you."
With these words, he heads out of the house, leaving both of us devastated. It's not easy for her to let her brother go, but she chose it all for me, and I'm not going to disappoint her.
I feel miserable for losing a friend like him, as we were more like brothers than friends. I know it's hard, but I can't leave her, either. Maybe with time, he might be able to accept the reality and come back to us because loving someone is not preplanned, it just happens, and no one can control it. "What happened, baby? You look tired. Is everything okay?" I ask him.
"Yeah! All good, just my game is not getting better; I think I'm losing it. I need to practice more and concentrate. I don't know where I'm lacking. My game has turned really bad. I'm tensed now," he says.
"My darling! You don't need to be disappointed. I know you can do it, and you certainly will. I trust you completely. You need practice, and I will go with you, okay?".
He's satisfied, and so am I.

In the evening, we go to the ground to practice basketball. He told me that he has a match in a week, and before that, he needs immense practice.
I stay with him and urge him to keep going. I know he needs my support right now, and this game means a lot to him. He does well in practice when I'm around.
He comes for a five-minute break amid his game and says, "You know what? Whenever you are around, it all becomes so easy. I feel like I'm gaining back my confidence. You're an angel. Just stay by my side."
I note his words and stay there with him till the last day. Finally, the tournament begins. I wish him good luck and kiss him before he leaves.
I say, "Babe! I know you can do it. You've practiced so much. Just don't doubt yourself, ever. Even if you don't win today, just know that I love you, and nothing can change it. Now, go break a leg".
He goes, and the match begins. I'm worried, but I believe in him, too. I made him a banner to cheer him up.
The match is interesting and very critical.
In the last two minutes, both the teams have equal scores.
Last ten seconds.
He has the ball.
The clock is ticking.
And there, he manages to gain it.
His team wins, and my heart is filled with happiness. He runs to me and hugs me. I can sense his pride as he picks me up in his arms like a trophy.
He says, "Thank you, darling, for supporting me. You made me believe in myself I won. Thank you"

Once we are back home, he beams with happiness, reflecting on the victory. He grabs my waist and holds me close. I can sense him all over. He has played romantic music on his stereo, which adds to the aura around us.
