I reached forward and patted him on the head, still grinning like a fool. “It’s okay, bud. Isn’t it, Lia?”

She leaned her cheek against Markus’s shoulder and smiled. “Of course.”

Markus nodded at me. “Congratulations, Sis.”

I glanced at everyone before bringing my gaze back to my brother. “I couldn’t have done it without all of you.”

Grayson kissed the top of my head. “And we wouldn’t have come together without you.”

Even with the losses, my heart was so fucking full, I thought it might explode.

It might have taken longer than I’d expected to get here, but, staring at my found family, I knew everything I’d gone through had led me to right here and that was something I could never regret.

Epilogue

KINSLEY

One Month Later…

After several weeks of cleanup, I was finally waking up in the new-to-us house that I intended to share with Grayson for many, many years to come.

Once my injuries had healed, I’d gotten right to work on bringing this part of Fire and Fluorite back together. It hadn’t been easy, and we were still a long way from where I hoped to see this House, but I knew we’d get there. One day at a time.

Plus, there was still plenty of other territory that I needed to visit now that things were more stable right here. I needed the other areas of Fire and Fluorite to see their new Alpha Supreme and know that I wouldn’t forget about them, that their needs were just as important as the House members who lived nearest to me.

That would likely take me months to accomplish, but I wasn’t going to be doing anything on my own, which made the tasks seem much less daunting.

Grayson had been right by my side, and I knew he would continue to be, helping however he could, even when he didn’t want to. Given thatpeoplingwasn’t his forte, I’d figured out rather quickly that I needed even more help after the first week.

That was where Ryder had come back in. He was the perfect Beta. I’d known all along that there was a deeper connection that I’d felt to him, one that hadn’t clicked into place until he’d accepted my offer as Beta.

Then there was Sammy. We’d just celebrated his seventh birthday last week, and he wished to one day be my assistant like his dad was.

“Assistant” wasn’t the right word, but I gladly made his wish come true, and he was now my unofficial helper around the house. On a serious note, having coffee brought to me by a very proud seven-year-old was a joy unlike anything else.

“How’s my mate this morning?” Grayson asked when he exited the bathroom wearing only a white towel around his waist.

I, however, was still in bed since the sun was barely up. “Awake but wishing she weren’t alone under this blanket.”

He chuckled. “We have a lot to do today.”

I already knew that and didn’t want to deal with it. Well, at least one of the things.

Today, I had to say goodbye to my brother and Lia.

Realistically, I knew it wasn’t a real goodbye, but the thought of them going to Blood and Beryl to live broke my heart a little. Okay, a lot.

I hadn’t been above begging them to stay until Grayson had kindly reminded me of the previous assumptions we’d already had, ones that Markus hadn’t ever confirmed himself. Though, his eyes said a lot for him when he spoke of Blood and Beryl. That was his home now, and I respected that.

The only issue we hadn’t tackled between us was telling his mother about me, which meant our little brother didn’t know, either.

We’d both agreed to leave Triton out of what we’d learned, so that he didn’t have to try to keep things from their mom, something he apparently wasn’t great at.

That didn’t mean I hadn’t checked in on them in my own ways, and I would continue to do so until Markus and I decided to share the truth. For now, they were safe in Fire and Fluorite and would remain that way for years to come.

I was apparently lost in thought for too long, because the next thing I knew, Grayson was wrapping his arms around my waist. He hauled my naked ass out of bed by throwing me over his shoulder like a caveman. “Come on, Mate. You need to get ready or they’re going to leave without saying goodbye.”

I gasped. “They’d never. Lia and Markus love me too much to do that.”
