“Hey, Grey,” Remi greeted as she slid into the booth across from me, her radiant smile momentarily pulling me out of my reverie. “You look a little lost in thought.”

“Ah, yeah,” I stammered, trying to regain my composure. “Just thinking about last night.” My heart raced and my cock thickened as flashes of Ghost’s body tangled with mine and Remi’s filled my mind once more, leaving me astounded by the intensity of it all.

“Me too,” she admitted, biting her lip. “It was ... sensational.” As she spoke, her eyes held a mixture of desire and uncertainty.

The waiter arrived, notepad in hand, saving us from delving deeper into the previous night’s passionate affair. “Can I take your order?”

“Two omelets, please. One with spinach and feta, the other with ham and cheese,” I requested, knowing Remi’s favorite breakfast dish by heart.

He jotted down our order and disappeared into the kitchen.

“Thanks,” Remi said softly, giving me a small smile. She then glanced around the restaurant, seemingly searching for something. Her eyes settled on a couple holding hands across the room, and she sighed.

“Hey,” I said softly, reaching out to brush her fingers with mine. “How is Ghost?”

“Confused,” she replied, her voice low and conflicted. “I think we all are.”

I nodded. I’d gotten the clarity I’d come here seeking, but that didn’t make the situation any easier. Somehow, I needed to make Remi understand. I loved her, but I also had deep feelings for Ghost. I was fairly certain I loved him, too. She hadn’t understood the first time I’d tried to explain it, but now she had feelings tangled up with him as well.

“Are you...?” Remi hesitated before continuing. “Are you in love with him, Greyson?”

I let out a heavy sigh, knowing there was no point in denying the truth. “I’ve had feelings for Ghost since I met him years ago,” I admitted. “But he always rejected my advances. He hasn’t been very kind to me in the past.”

Remi nodded, her eyes searching mine for answers.

I’d come to Boston to get answers, not leave with more questions. It was time to lay it all on the line. I needed to see if Remi was on board.

“Listen, Remi,” I began, my heart pounding in my chest. “I love you, and I think I could love Ghost if he let me in.” My stomach was tied in knots as I watched her face for any sign of her reaction. “I want the three of us to be together.”

Her gaze flicked up to meet mine, uncertainty clouding her expression. “Grey, you know I love you. That’s never changed for me. I have feelings for Ghost, too. But I don’t know if Ghost can make commitments like that, or if he even feels the same way about us.”

The weak winter sunlight streaming through the restaurant window cast a warm glow over Remi’s face, highlighting her contemplative expression. She hesitated for a moment before speaking. “Ghost has things in his past that he needs to deal with,” she said quietly. “And it’s not just about being able to make commitments — I think it goes deeper than that.”

I furrowed my brow, searching her eyes for answers. “Do you think he could ever love another man? Does he have a fear of intimacy when it comes to being with another man? I would understand it if he couldn’t.”

“I’m not sure.” She hesitated, chewing her bottom lip nervously. “Having a threesome with another man involved is very different from what you’re talking about. You’re talking about complex emotions, like love. I do believe he has feelings for you, but he’s far from understanding that, let alone accepting it. He’s still grappling with his own identity and past traumas.”

My chest ached, imagining Ghost in pain. I’d always sensed a loneliness in him and felt he might have endured a lot of hurt. I wanted nothing more than to wrap him in my arms and show him he could trust me, trust us, but I didn’t want to scare him away.

“Then what am I supposed to do?” I asked, feeling a mixture of frustration and helplessness. “How can I help him if he keeps pushing me away?”

“Talk to him,” Remi urged, reaching across the table to squeeze my hand reassuringly. “Open up to him about your feelings and let him know that you’re there for him, and maybe he’ll be willing to open up to you. But, most importantly, you should give him time and space to process everything.”

A server appeared at our table, setting down plates of steaming food before us. Remi picked up her fork and began cutting into her omelet while I poked at my eggs.

As we started digging into our breakfast, I let my mind drift back to Ghost again — the feel of his strong athletic body against mine, the growling sound he made when he’d claimed my lips and plundered my mouth. My desire for him had grown over the years, despite his repeated rejections and distance. But now, with Remi in the mix, my feelings had exponentially increased. The way we connected, the passion we shared — it all felt so right, like a missing piece of a puzzle finally snapping into place.

“Being with him last night, it just felt...” I shook my head, at a loss for words again. “Right. Like we were meant to be together, the three of us.”

“I know. I felt it too.” Chewing thoughtfully, Remi spoke up again. “Just so you know, I’ll be on tour with Ghost for one more week while we get some video footage, then I’ll return to L.A. to start working on the whole package.”

My heart tightened at the thought of Remi and Ghost spending time together without me. Would they grow closer while I remained thousands of miles away?

“Remi,” I said, my voice strained with vulnerability. “I’m not going to lie — the thought of you two being on tour together without me … it scares me a little.”

“Don’t worry,” Remi said softly, pausing with her fork halfway to her mouth. “I love you. And no matter what happens with Ghost, that won’t change. We’ll figure this out together.”

I nodded, taking a deep breath and forcing a small smile. “You’re right. I trust you. It’s just ... new territory for me.”
