“Are you kidding me?” she snaps and whirls around to face me, motioning with her arm in Pirate’s direction. “Do something.”

“What do you want me to do, Sweets?” I cock a brow and cross my arms.

“Get my cat for me.” Narrowing her eyes on me she takes in my face and starts glaring. “You’re not going to help me, are you?”

I drop my arms, move in her space, and lean in. “After we handle business, I’ll get your cat for you, baby. Right now, we’ve got shit to discuss and you need to calm down so we can do that.”

“Fine.” She huffs and tries to pull away, but I don’t let her. I keep an arm around her and press a kiss to the top of her head while turning my attention to those in the room.

I notice Nevaeh’s family standing not too far away, her brothers glowering at me while her mom smiles and her father looks to the ceiling. Near them are Viking and Fawn. Next to my Prez is Sabotage and he’s pacing, eyes hard.

“What do we know so far?” I ask, my question directed to no one in particular.

“After getting here, I started a deeper search.” Pirate speaks up, sitting back at the table, Gizmo in his lap. “I was able to find the auction is to take place in two days. It’s online, and the notice states that once the bidding is concluded the broker will have what they win to them within a week.”

“So, time’s of the essence.” Wrath grunts.

“Yeah, guess you can put it that way.” Pirate nods.

“What about . . .”Nevaeh tenses and steps out of my grasp. I glance at her, and the way she tenses stops me from finishing my question while I take in her pale features.“What is it, baby?”

“You’re looking for a guy that’s supposed to be the broker, right?” she asks, licking her bottom lip.

My gut tightens, and she drops her gaze, twists, and seems to scan the room before she finds Peyton.

“Remember when Veronica sold you? It went through the broker first.”

I turn my attention to Peyton to find her nodding and stepping closer to Ice who wraps his arm tightly around her.

“What about it?” Peyton asks softly.

“There were two men there?”

“Yes.”

The two both seem to pale further.

“Nevaeh . . .”

She twirls around and faces me. “I know who the broker is and it’s not just one man.”

“Who is it? Did you just remember this?” I demand, watching her closely.

“I’d been thinking about it since you all mentioned him, but what got me wondering was the auction time frame Pirate mentioned.”

“What’s so important about it?” Sabotage growls.

“It’s my brother, isn’t it?” Daghda speaks up, looking furious.

“What?” Viking demands, brows furrowed. “I thought he’s the one who sold her off?”

“He is, but I have two brothers. Dermont and Drystan,” Daghda explains. “The two of them share a different mother than me. My mother passed away during childbirth with my little sister. We lost both of them. My father met and got with, but didn’t marry, my brothers’ mother. Dermont and Drystan are twins, and their mom took off with them when they were four. Dermont came back when he was eighteen and joined the club. Drystan never did. Last I looked in on him, he and their mother were living not too far from this area. I believe he’s right on the Florida-Alabama state line.”

“I had Dearg, one of our brothers, look into Dermont’s phone records and computer,” Banshee states, stepping forward to stand next to his father. Head held high. “He’s been in constant communication with Drystan, and we were able to get a hold of his text messages. According to them, Drystan was hired to handle a job by a man called Bishop. Does that ring a bell?”

“Motherfucker,” I snarl, my lip curling as I look around to all of my brothers. The air in the room thickens and it’s not good.

“Makes sense.” Pirate growls, getting everyone’s attention. “Though, I didn’t know this information before now, what I was going to say is that whoever it was hit facial recognition. I got a hit on the guy and Daghda’s right. It was a man named Clad, who works for Drystan, who broke into the offices and stole the computer. It’s all connecting.”
