The whole thought process where she’s concerned is fucked. I don’t know what to think when it comes to her and all that makes her who she is.

I’ll be the first to admit I fucked up with things pertaining to her. Meeting her in Colorado, we got shit-faced, and in the midst of a good night, we did something stupid. I regretted it the next morning, mostly because I took advantage of her. I knew better and I was rectifying the situation. I got the papers drawn up and gave them to her to sign. Chelsea’s a smart girl and knows us rectifying the situation is for the best. Though I’m sure she fucks with me the way she does as a way to make me pay for what I did to her, and I don’t blame her.

Doesn’t mean the pranks don’t piss me off. Everything from that damn snake of hers to the bees and mouse traps.

Fuck me.

The thought of Sassy, Chelsea’s ball python, makes me cringe knowing I’ve got to check on the damn thing. Blow ordered me to be the one to do it after finding out she was going to be gone a few days.

Remembering that she up and left without a word to anyone but Meadow, it pisses me off. She’s even avoided phone calls far as I know. It’s fucked up, and if I knew where the fuck she went to, I’d go after if only to knock some sense into her.

I’m not the only one to notice a change in her over the past weeks. Hell months. Chelsea’s been distancing herself for a while now. She goes into work early at the real estate office we put her in charge of and works late. Sometimes even goes in after coming back to the clubhouse.

It’s time we find out what’s going on with her. Better yet, I will find out for myself.

“Her mom’s in the hospital, Blow.”

At the sound of Storm’s irritated voice, I’m jerked out of my head and focus on my Prez’s woman as she makes her way toward where we’re all sitting. Nines and Blow had been talking about some shit I wasn’t paying any attention to.

“You got ahold of Chelsea, I take it,” Blow remarks, scooting his chair back enough for Storm to join him.

“Yeah, she’s in Colorado. She didn’t say much more than that other than her mom’s in the hospital.” Storm huffs and plops down on Blow’s lap. “I swear it was like she couldn’t get off the phone fast enough, though. And I could tell she was annoyed when she answered, granted she did well trying to hide it.”

“What do you think is wrong with her?” Nines questions, leaning forward, eyes on his cousin, Storm.

“I don’t know.” Storm shrugs and sighs. “Whatever it is, it’s taking its toll on her though.”

“It’ll be okay, baby,” Blow utters, pressing a kiss to his woman’s temple.

“Think the work at the office is too much for her?” I ask.

“No way, she loves that job,” Storm answers without hesitation.

I start to say something but my phone rings from in front of me on the table. I reach out and pick it up to look at the screen, only to cock a brow. “What’s Driver doing calling me?”

“He’s callin’ you?” Blow furrows and glances to Nines.

“Yeah.” I nod and swipe my finger across the screen and answer lifting the phone to my ear. “Driver.”

“Fucker, I’m gonna kill you,” Driver snarls through the line.

“The fuck did I do to you?” I demand, tensing and gripping my phone tighter.

“For one, you married my sister and I’m just now finding out about this shit.” He bites out with a growl.

“That was a mistake and her and I rectified that,” I snap, getting defensive.

“Yeah? You sure about that?” Driver sneers.

“Yeah, I’m sure about that. I sent the papers to her, and she signed ‘em.” I stand and turn my back to my brothers, feeling their eyes on me.

“Considering I’m looking at the papers in my hand right now, I know she didn’t sign ‘em.”

“Hold on a minute. I sent those a while back and she said she signed them.” Didn’t she? Fuck.

“Well, we’ll deal with this shit, but first, I need to know who the fuck would take my sister.”

The moment those words hit my ears, I see red. “What do you mean who would take your sister? Storm just talked to her.”
