When I awake, I’m being lifted from the couch. Marco has me nestled against his chest and is carrying me to a bathroom that's adjacent to his office. He sets me down on a sink, caressing my eyes as they slowly start to open.

“Good morning, princess. You sleep like the dead.” The smile in his voice shines through as he grabs a brush and starts running it softly through my hair.

“Mmm, that feels nice. Will you do this every morning?” I ask, yawning as he chuckles at me.

“For you, baby, I’ll do anything,” he says, this sweet side of him sparking an insane amount of desire within me.

“You know when you say things like that it only makes me want to fuck you,” I say brazenly, my eyes widening as I shock myself with my words.

He growls then, yanking me forward so that my center is aligned with his, his cock hard and pressing into me as I moan.

“I’d like very much to fuck you right now, princess, but we have other matters to tend to,” he says, kissing my lips softly before he pulls back on a moan.

“My secretary brought over a dress and some shoes for you. They’re hanging on the back of the door. Get dressed and meet me in my office when you’re done. I have a car waiting for us,” he kisses my forehead before he leaves the bathroom with me still sitting on the counter.

I sigh and hop down, walking to the door and pulling the silk, white dress that hangs from it. I undress quickly, pulling it up my body before I bend down and step into the heels he got for me. When I step out of the bathroom and into his office, he stops talking to one of his guards and stares at me, the air in the room now intense.

“You look…”

“Simple?” I ask, chuckling as my fingers tug at the short hem that stops mid-thigh.

“No,” he says in a husky tone. He walks towards me before he stops and holds my cheek in his hand.

“You look like my wife.” I sigh against his mouth when he leans in to kiss me and bites down on my lips.

I hear his guard leave the room, but I don’t have time to look. As soon as Marco pulls away, he goes down on one knee, a small, velvet box in his hand as he looks up at me. My heart stops in my chest and I swear I can hear a pin drop. The world stops spinning on its axis and I am forced to sit in this moment, to savor it for all that it’s worth.

“This was my mother’s. She’s worn it her entire marriage, before my father died,” he says, his voice sounding thick as he gets the words out.

“She took it off the day of the funeral, said that it served its purpose and needed to be saved for when I finally found a woman to share my life with,” he chuckles then, shaking his head as tears blur my vision even more.

“I told her she was crazy, that I would never find someone that I could love as much as my father loved her. That it was impossible,” he says, looking up at me now as he speaks.

“Now I realize that she wasn’t the crazy one that day. I was.” Opening the box to reveal a large ring, one that I wish I could see the details of, but I can at least see that it is oval in shape.

“It’s only three carats, we can get you something better in the future, but I just thought for now—”

“No. It’s perfect. Put it on me,” I command. His laugh sounding throughout the room as he pulls the ring from the box and grabs my hand.

“I can’t imagine putting this on someone else, obligations or not, this was always meant for you, Lorena. Will you marry me?” He asks, a smile pulling at my lips as my heart pounds with joy.

“I already did, Marco. And I will over and over again if I have to,” I whisper, his fingers pushing the ring on my own as I let the tears fall before I sink to my knees.

I grab his face in my hands, his beard scratching my palm as I lean forward and mold my mouth with his.

“I love you so much, woman. No matter what happens, please never forget that,” he groans. I nod, pulling him into my arms, my bandaged wrist resting gently on his back.

When he pulls away, he stands and pulls me up by my hand, bending to kiss my ring as I blush before him in my white dress and heels.

“Let’s do this. Wife.” My pussy flutters at his new term of endearment.

He wraps a strong arm around my waist and walks me out of his office. The club is empty since it’s morning, only a few guards and his staff inside of the building as he walks us out of the nightclub and into the waiting vehicle.

“Only drive in the boundary lines. When we near the mansion, stop.” He instructs, turning to me now as the car pulls away and begins to drive.

“When we get there, you will need to get out first. They already know you’re gone and probably know that you’re with me. They won’t harm you, but they will kill me. I will get out behind you, but please don’t be alarmed when you see our guns. We won’t shoot unless they do,” he says, fear popping my sudden bubble of joy.

I swallow. “And if they do shoot?” I ask.
