“Is Petey here today?”

He shook his head. “He ain’t been here since he told me.”

“How long ago?”

“Two, three days.”

Son of a bitch.

If Petey had gone to the tabloids, they had the resources to find all those damn movies, even though I’d tried to get most of them taken down.

This was exactly what I’d been afraid of, and it was so much worse than I’d been imagining.

I was going to have to tell Kingston everything as soon as he got home tomorrow night.

And I wasn’t looking forward to it.

Spending the holidays with my family was always nice, but I was anxious to get home to Devyn. I’d missed her, and the more I’d talked about her, the worse it got. My family had been excited to hear I’d met someone special, and they couldn’t wait to meet her in London. Everyone was going to the show: Remy and Noelle, my mother, her boyfriend Dave, and Ashton, along with a handful of other friends and family who’d be joining us there. The two London shows were going to be incredible, but the tour would keep us busy, so there wouldn’t be a lot of quality time together once it got going.

And I still hadn’t gotten her to tell me what was going on.

I’d asked Dorian to do a deep dive on Larry Hanks’ social media and online presence because it seemed easier to snoop on him than the woman I’d fallen in love with. She wouldn’t like me hiring a PI to dig into her past, so I was trying to walk a fine line between getting the answers I needed and not upsetting Devyn.

I respected her ability to take care of herself and to not need a man to take care of or protect her, but it wasn’t in my nature to sit back and let her suffer or struggle over something alone. Not when we were together now. It hadn’t been a long time but long enough for me to know I’d fallen in love with her. Long enough for me to tell my family about her. And long enough for me to know I had to be there for her because it seemed like no one but Greatty ever had.

I was playing Mah Jong on my laptop on the plane when my phone started to ding with multiple texts.

DORIAN: I need to talk to you. When do you land?

KINGSTON: Two more hours. What’s going on?

Before she could respond, I got a text from Kellan

KELLAN: What’s going on? Do you know?

KINGSTON: About what?

KELLAN: Where are you? Have you been online?

KINGSTON: No, I’m on a plane.

KELLAN: You need to Google Onyx Knight Devyn Cates.

KINGSTON: Can’t you just tell me?

I was starting to get irritated.

KELLAN: Uh, no. You need to see for yourself.

DORIAN: It would be better if we can talk on the phone.

KINGSTON: I can’t make calls from the plane.

DORIAN: I’m sending you some links but look at them on your phone, not your laptop. Absolutely NSFW. Especially if there are children near you.
