Brynn glanced at me. “I also went to Zirc’s house.”

“Ah”, Roqs and I exclaimed at the same time.

“That explains it,” I realized. “Zirc likes the old. The backwater.”

“This looked so impressive!” she gushed.

I felt my cheeks flushed. High praises from my mate. Roqs snorted. Of course, he wasn’t impressed.

Sim wasn’t one to be left behind. “Here, let me show you impressive.” He clamp a hand on her shoulder and guided her towards the corner. The other window towards the South was a floating island. Small spaceships travel to and from that island. And further, beyond that, were massive buildings but with very nice landscaping in another part of the Orange Mountain.

I tried not to laugh at my mate. She mimicked a fish, her fish opening and closing. Sim had no inclination. He laughed hard at her.

“How about the Silver Tribe?” she asked and looked at Roqs.

Roqs had a gleam in his eyes. After all, he was the Alpha of that tribe. Me and Sim smirked and we said at the same time, “They are recluse.”

Sim narrated further. “They are very reclusive. They hide in caves.”

Rather than be disappointed, she was intrigued because most likely, she was thinking it will be a very sophisticated cave, like this one.

“When we meet up with Zirc, we’ll go there next,” Roqs promised her.

Brynn went quiet. I understood then. She wanted to go back to her home, her real home. Roqs talked like she was staying for good.

“You guys planning to leave me here?” Coone piped up.

“Coone!” Brynn was too fast for me to catch. She zoomed past and barreled towards Coone. He still looked pale but he was standing. That was good news.

“Kru’h Nim. Kru’h Sim.”

“Yuzer,” Sim and I said at the same time.

I frowned. When was the last time I visited him? He looked much older now. His assistant helped him towards one of the sofa looking directly towards the ocean. Most likely his favorite seat. Like a small boy, I couldn’t help but sit near him. I sniffed discreetly, but his eyes twinkled He knew. He knew that he smelled like home for me.

Sim understood. He sat beside me. We saw Coone direct Brynn towards Sim. So we were all lined up on one side while Yuzer sat perpendicular to us. His assistant, who was new to me, went away. Most likely to prepare food for us.

“What trouble have you brought me this time?” Though he looked old, his purple fur fading, his voice sounded strong.

Sim snorted. “What if we brought you good news?”

Yuzer laughed. “Never! Your neko pet is wounded.”

“I’m not a pet!” Coone growled but without menace. He was used to it and really, it was harmless. I saw Brynn smiling a bit.

“What’s this?” He fixed his glasses. “Another neko?”

Brynn blushed. How cute. Then I frowned as Sim explained her situation. It reminded me that were all covered in blood still. Both Sim and I had a pillow over our laps. Yes, fights and blood stirred our lust. There was only one cure for it.

Sim slapped my arm with his tail. Fuck. I was staring at Brynn again. I tried to divert my eyes to Yuzer. He arched an eyebrow. If he could read me, he could read me as well. After all, I honestly thought he was more my parent than the alphas of our tribe.

He looked at Brynn again with a slight narrowing of his forehead. Then his face cleared. He knew. The same way he knew about me and Sim. He was the first one who discovered mine and Sim’s darkest secret. During the time, I couldn’t understand why it was happening.

“How much time do you need to stay here?” Yuzer asked us.

“A day,” I answered. “Let us take a bath, change our clothes so we don’t mess your furniture with blood -”

“- Not yours?” he cut in and narrowed his eyes at me. Then at Sim.
