Through Hunter’s shorts, I could see his cock hardening, watching her on her knees, and he shifted, trying to hide it, before wincing and turning his head.

“Look at me,” I demanded. “Tell me the truth.”

“The truth is,” Hunter stood up, “I wish Tay would fucking look at me. Wish she wouldn’t be on her knees like you are some God, and she’s not allowed to even speak.”

Tatum stood quickly, turned around, and slapped Hunter across the face. “All I have been trying to do is control myself. Following me, stalking me, blackmailing Tripp, slicing my tires…” She took a breath and then raised her arms in the air. “Do I need to go on?”

“What the fuck are you talking about?”

“Drugging Tripp, leaving letters on my door. You still want me to go on?”

“I never did that shit!” Hunter yelled, making me step forward and grab Tatum back in case he blew his shit on her. “I followed you to the beach and watched you meet Tripp, and I asked Tripp to hang out with you because I knew you two had met. I thought it would be a way to keep him close. But I never drugged anyone.”

“Then how come I just failed a piss test and the only night I don’t remember a fucking thing is the night you and I were out together?”

“Dude, I have no idea.”

“Do you remember sucking my dick?”

“I remember trying,” he sighed. “I remember everything. But I had no idea you didn’t. At least not at first.”

He was still hard as he grabbed himself through his shorts and groaned in frustration. Tatum was looking between us before she returned to me and buried her head into my chest. She was taking deep breaths, once again trying to calm herself down before her head popped back up, and she faced him again.

“Who took the picture?”

“What fucking picture?”

Tatum pulled her phone out and showed Hunter, who stepped back and sat back on the couch in panic. No one was that good of an actor, and in that one moment, I chose to believe him. He had no idea who took that picture, and he had no idea who was blackmailing me.

“I will admit I used Tay to try to get closer to you, and I will admit I told a few lies. But I never left any notes, and I sure as fuck didn’t slice any tires.”

“I loved you,” Tatum finally said softly.

“You were never going to love me the way you love him,” Hunter sighed in defeat.

We both stilled when he said that word because it was something we both avoided. Love wasn’t the name of the game. It only made the outcome of what we had between us that much harder.

Hunter looked up at me and shrugged. “I only showed up today because I thought you two had me kicked off the camp squad. You weren’t the only one with traces of something in your piss, but I immediately thought it was one of you.”

“Why would I do that?”

“I just assumed that you finally figured it out. That I came back to Miami for you, not Tay.”

My heart started racing as Tatum began crying. Pulling her into my arms, I soothed her, letting her know in small whispers that it was all okay.

“I’m sorry, Tay. I know using you to get to Tripp was wrong, leading you on, making you think I was someone I wasn’t. That night at the club, I thought Tripp wanted me too.” He moved his eyes to mine before he kept talking. “When we woke up and you asked if we had sex, my heart almost exploded, because I wasn’t sure what to make of it. Or how you felt. All I knew was that you didn’t remember.”

“Fucking hell,” I groaned.

“How did you know where I was, though?” She cried. “We checked my phone.”

“It wasn’t you I was tracking, it was Tripp. That night at the club, when he left his phone on the table to piss, I turned his location on and paired it with mine. Fuck, it went too far but I wanted to know where I could accidentally run into him again.”

“The beach,” I sighed. “When Tatum and I met, you were hoping I was alone.”

“Yeah. And I was fucking livid that you were with Tay. It was like losing both of you in one chance meeting.”

“You never had me,” I bit out, fucking angry while almost feeling sorry for him.
