“I’m going to have so much work to do because I skipped a few hours of class,” I mutter more to myself as I stand in my towel, deciding on something to wear, but everything looks so hideous right now.

“But it was worth it, wasn’t it?” Hudson is on my bed, his head propped up by his very well-toned forearms as he watches me with an amused look on his face.

His jeans are back on, but his t-shirt is still off and his hair sticks against his forehead, damp from the shower he took a while ago.

“Was it?” I ask narrowing my eyes at him.

Hudson raises his dark eyebrows. “Please, you couldn’t keep your moans to yourself when I was eating your pus—”

“Hudson!” I cover my face in embarrassment.

“Pussy,” he finishes off with a satisfied smirk on his face.

“You’re so vulgar.” I drop my hands.

“And you love it,” he says, with a devilish grin.

I do,I silently think.

“How about this one?” I hold up a black scoop neck mermaid dress, encrusted with tiny diamonds that I wore for an hour at my 19th birthday party.

“I think that one is perfect,” he says. “Try it on.”

“Close your eyes.”

Hudson chuckles, tilting his head back as if it’s the funniest thing I’ve ever said. “It’s not like I haven’t seen you naked. You were naked an hour ago. What’s the difference?”

“There’s a big difference. I’m very self-conscious, especially when you’re watching me like how you are now,” I explain, folding my arms around my chest.

His face twists with amusement. “How am I watching at you?”

“You know how!”

“Like a snack to devour?”

“Stop it.” My ears are all hot and I can’t stop myself from smiling.

“Okay, I’m not looking,” Hudson says and turns over onto his side.

I quickly drop the towel to the floor, sneaking peeks at him now and then, because I don’t trust him.

“I just realized that I don’t know much about you,” I tell Hudson as I step into the dress.

“Ditto,” he mumbles. “I don’t much about you.”

“Well,” I pull the cool silk up my body. “You at least know my dad. I don’t know any of your family.”

I slip my arms in through the spaghetti straps when I realize that Hudson has gone quiet and extremely still.

“Hudson?”

“They’re the best,” Hudson says in a detached voice. “Mom, dad and Matt.”

“You have a brother?” The surprise in my voice is noticeable.

“Yeah, he’s a year older.”

“I wish I had siblings,” I say, struggling to lace the back of my dress. “Can you help me, please?”
