It tickled, and I chuckled as the hatch closed, locking us inside our own precious world.

“How long will the return trip take?” she asked in a sultry voice. “About the same amount of time?”

“At least thirty minutes. Uphill takes longer than coming down.”

“Coming down, eh?” She grinned as she scooted lower on my lap, her fingers releasing the top fastening of my pants. “I believe I can take care of things in thirty minutes.”

My cock surged upward, as eager as me to see what she had to offer.

As the vehicle left the station, she released my cock.

When her tongue glided up the length, I tipped my head back and groaned, settling in for the ride of my life.

Chapter 23

Epilogue 2

KASSIA

One Year Later

“Just one more,” Drunella shouted. She bounced beside me, maintaining a firm grip on my hand.

Actually, I wanted my hand back, but we’d been getting along so well over the past year, I didn’t have the heart to wrench it away.

My gaze met Jarum’s where he stood on the other side of the narrow bed.

“Are you alright?” he asked in a pained voice and for the thousandth time.

“Eh.” I groaned and pushed hard, my straining cries echoing around the small hospital room.

Damn, it hurt, but orcs were big, and even though our child was only half-orc, the ultrasounds showed it would be a large baby for a human to deliver. My OBGYN had offered a C-Section, but I’d wanted to try to bring our orcling into the world this way first.

I pushed harder, clutching Drunella and Jarum’s hands.

“Argh,” I bellowed, bearing down.

A whoosh, and our orcling’s head passed. What a relief. Now for the shoulders . . . After a few more pushes, it was over and our child cried out, making my heart sing with joy.

“Ah,” Drunella gasped. “A boy. A boy! I have a grandorcling.” She released my hand and fled the room to share the good news with Roktas and my aunt and cousin.

Jarum climbed onto the bed behind me and eased me against his chest as the nurses gently bathed our son.

“You’re amazing, love.” He curled around me to kiss my cheek. “Our son is gorgeous.”

“We’ll call him Roktin, right?” We’d talked about giving our possible son a name similar to his father’s, who I adored. He’d even told me to call him dad.

“Roktin he is.” Jarum choked with emotion. “Love you, mate. So much.”

“Love you, too, Jarum.”

I took our son into my arms and held him, admiring his pale green skin and the nubs of horns sprouting from his forehead. Would we have eight or ten orclings before we were finished?

Who knows?

For now, I was thrilled to have one and the neverending love of my mate.
