She was the glue to our little group, so fucking perfect, and we all had to have our hands on her in one way or another.
The stress from the last few days left me exhausted by the time we all settled. Julie conked out first, but I was fast behind her, and when I let myself pass out, I felt myself smile. I was going to buy something way bigger than a king bed because there was nothing better than how we all were right now. I just had to figure out where to put it.
Chapter Forty-Nine
JULIE
When I woke up the following morning, I was still cuddled between Grayson and Luka. It was early, the sky through the window tinged pink but not full sunrise yet. I detangled myself quietly and sat up, scrubbing my eyes. When I looked at the group, I couldn’t help the smile that crossed my face. Never in my life did I think I’d end up in a relationship like this, but it made me so happy that all three of them were here with me.
“Where do you think you’re going?” Grayson’s voice was rough with sleep, and when he looked up at me, he looked disheveled and so handsome.
Biting my lip, I lifted a shoulder. “We have to get up eventually. We’ve got work.”
Letting out a heavy sigh, he nodded, pushing himself off the pile of blankets. “I suppose you’re right. No doubt after skipping yesterday, my inbox is going to be full.”
When he wrapped his arms around me, I leaned against him. “Thank you for taking the time off to be with me. I can’t tell you how much it means.”
He buried his face against my shoulder, the stubble on his chin scraping me and making me shiver. “Always, sweetheart. You’re more important than a job.”
Coming from him, that meant a lot. Grayson lived and breathed his job, so saying I meant more was almost unbelievable. I let myself believe it, though, because I felt the same way.
“I love you, Grayson.”
He sucked in a sharp breath, his grip tightening around me. “Say it again.”
A smile spread across my face as I shifted to whisper it in his ear. He shivered, scooping me off the floor and into his arms as he stood. When I shot him a confused look, he winked at me and marched off to the bedroom. “I need a shower. You’re coming with me.”
“Grayson…”
Setting me on my feet in the bathroom, he cradled my face in his hands, sipping softly at my lips. “I love you, Julie. You’re the best part of my day, and I can’t even begin to tell you how much you mean to me.”
Sighing happily, I threw my arms around his neck, letting him walk us backwards into the shower. I tried to remind him that the hot water wouldn’t last, but that didn’t stop him from touching me until I came on his fingers, his own release splashing against my back as he ground himself against my behind.
By the time we came back out, the other two were awake, and making out with each other. I came to an abrupt halt, my body instantly reacting despite the fact that I just came not that long ago. I wasn’t sure I’d ever get used to seeing them together without getting all hot and bothered. Grayson chuckled as he moved past me, grabbing one of the pillows and tossing at them.
“Stop fucking around and get up. We need to get moving.”
Luka scowled at him, lifting his middle finger. “You think we couldn’t hear you two in there? You’re not any better.”
Grayson just flashed him a smug look before disappearing into the kitchen. I followed him, mostly to avoid the wicked grin that spread across Luka’s face when he noticed me. He was going to make us late looking at me like that.
I didn't have enough to-go cups for everyone, so we took a moment to just enjoy our coffee before heading into the office. Everyone had to split off to get a change of clothes, so I was the first to arrive, but that wasn’t unusual.
