I look at him and admit, "I'm perfect with ya."
He grins. "Aye, ya sure are." He winks, adding, "And welcome to the mile-high club."

When the plane lands, it's midmorning. We get to Alaina and Brody's and get out of the car.
Maeve freezes and gapes over my shoulder.
"What are ya looking at?" I question.
She shrieks, "Is that the Bugatti? The one that I wanted?"
I glance over my shoulder and stare at the shiny black vehicle. I'd forgotten I'd ordered it for her before we left. It was supposed to arrive in a few months, so I'm just as surprised to see it as Maeve.
I arch my eyebrows. "Aye, it must be."
"Ya actually got it for me?" she asks in awe.
"Of course I got it for ya. It was part of the deal."
My dad's lips twitch. He pats Maeve on the shoulder. "Better go look at it."
"Can I?" she questions.
I chuckle. "Of course ya can. It's yours."
She jumps up, reaches her arms around me, and kisses me. "You're the best, babes!"
I grin. "Why don't ya kiss me better than that if ya mean it?"
She bats her eyelashes, rises on her tiptoes, and slides her tongue against mine.
I give her everything I can, unsure when I'll be able to kiss her again. I hate that I'll be away from her for who knows how long.
She retreats. "How was that?"
"Pretty good." I squeeze her ass. "Let's look at your new car before I have to deal with this bullshit."
She runs over to it, and I follow. She opens the door and slides into the driver's seat.
I get in on the passenger side.
She runs her fingers across the leather. "I can't believe ya bought this for me!"
"I'm glad ya like it," I state.
She puts her hand on the wheel and then turns her head toward me. "Ya know ya didn't have to do this, right?"
"Of course I had to. A deal's a deal," I repeat.
She tilts her head. "No, ya really didn't have to do this."
I lean closer and put my hand on her cheek. "If I tell ya I'm going to do something, it's a done deal. Ya should know that by now."
She stares at me, and a tiny smile appears on her pretty lips. She softly declares, "I won't trick ya anymore."
