Fallon sighs. "No, Daddy."

Maeve sternly states, "Help Uncle Devin figure out a punishment that doesn't involve him missing the rest of the party."

"But he deserves it," Fallon claims.

"And does your granddad deserve to be disappointed on his big day?" Maeve retorts.

Fallon groans. "No."

"Then think of something else."

Devin adds, "There's lots of people here. He might not notice."

Maeve elbows him in the rib, cage.

"Ow!" he bursts out.

"I was teasing!" he claims, but we all know he wasn't. He locks eyes with Fallon and says, "How do ya think we should punish him for this crime?"

She scrunches her face for a few minutes, and I once again hold back my amusement. I gaze over at Maeve and can tell she's doing the same.

Fallon finally points to the corner and orders, "One hour time-out facing the wall."

"One hour? That's a bit extreme," Maeve says.

Fallon tilts her head. "It's a third offense."

Devin keeps his scowl on Dominick. "Seems appropriate."

"That's a long time. Twenty minutes would be more appropriate," Maeve argues.

"Everyone thinks I have a non-Irish, boy's name!" Fallon cries out.

"Let's go set everyone straight," Devin states, carrying Fallon over to the group of kids.

"She's ruthless," Maeve mutters.

I chuckle and kiss her on the head. "Yep."

"Your brother isn't helping matters."

"Nope. And I love it."

"He's soft on Fallon."

"And you aren't on Dominick?"

Maeve points out, "He's only seven."

I take a sip of Guinness and grunt. "So? As Fallon said, it's his third offense."

Maeve shakes her head, muttering, "Poor Dominick."

I set my pint on the table and then pull her into me. "Is this what ya want to talk about all night?"

She arches her eyebrows.

"Where's Liam?" I question, not seeing our three-year-old anywhere in the room.
