Call me at once.

Mom

Please, Allegra, I need to know you’re safe.

Mom

You’ve had your fun, now call me. I’m angry now.

Rafferty

What the fuck is going on, Ally? Call me NOW!

Cessy

Just so you know, I’m in the mafia now. Scrub that the mafia is in me.

That one makes me laugh out loud. At least Kyle had a good time.

Dad

Please call us, honey. You’re not in any trouble.

Mom

If you blow this internship, Ally, I swear you’re on your own.

There are so many more, but it’s the one on my own phone that amuses me the most.

Unknown

I swear to God, Shade Vieri, by the time I’ve finished with you, you’ll be sewing mailbags for the rest of your life.

The fact it’s from Judge Stevenson makes me laugh out loud.

There is also one from my brother.

Kill

Gina reported back. Call me.

I pick up the phone and he answers immediately.

“Still having fun, I see.”He sighs.“Lucky bastard. What I wouldn’t give to be on that boat, with my wife, before you get the wrong idea.”

It makes me laugh.

“I’m sad for you, brother, being the boss sucks.”

“You can say that again.”

There’s a small pause, and he growls,“Gina got hold of Jefferson’s phone while he was in the shower. If you think you’ve got it bad, spare a thought for the hell she’s going through.”

I tease. “If she wasn’t so in love with you, she wouldn’t put herself through torture like this.”

“She has no business loving me. I’m a married man.”He sighs causing me to smile.

My brother doesn’t give a fuck about anyone, especially a past fuck that got attached. The only person he cares about is his wife and their unborn child. Like me, he cares for family but not in the same all-consuming way, and I wonder what that must feel like.
