I thought about it for a second, then wrinkled my nose. “Nuh. You two are good together, don’t get me wrong. If I was gonna go there…”

Kian seemed pleased by that.

I shook my head. “Now who’s getting ideas?”

He chuckled. “Nah, I feel you. I’m kinda a one-guy man too. So, while I’m down here on my knees…”

Vaughn looked hopeful.

Kian grinned. “…Empty the trash.”

I snorted at Vaughn’s crestfallen face. It was pathetic. I held my hand out to Kian. “Give me the bin. I’ll take it downstairs. Which will give the two of you time for other kneeling activities.”

Kian passed it up to me.

I left the room to the sounds of him pushing aside cleaning supplies and Vaughn undoing his fly.

I’d wait for Pix to get home from her shopping trip with Riva and Bliss and then maybe we’d join them. I suddenly needed to test out that bathtub with her.

I grinned at the thought as I wandered downstairs and out the front door. The sun was right at eye height, just barely clinging to the horizon, with night determined to set in. I pulled my phone from my back pocket to check the time.

It was later than I’d thought. Rebel should have been back by now.

I rounded the corner of the house, stepping around the short privacy fence that hid the large bins from the road. I brought up Rebel’s number and hit call, tucking the phone between my ear and my shoulder so I had both hands free to empty the trash.

Hey, it’s Rebel! Why are you calling instead of texting? What sort of monster are you? But since you’re here, do your thing and leave a message after the tone.

I shook the little can into the bigger bin. “Hey, it’s just me. Just checking to see where you’re at and when you’ll be home. I want to make sure I’ve got some dinner ready for you. Then after, I want to try something I think you’ll like…”

I stared down at the contents of the bin I’d just emptied and froze. “Uh, Pix? Why is there a pregnancy test in the bathroom trash?”

My heartbeat picked up. “Why does it have a plus sign and the word pregnant in the results screen?”

I just stared at the test in silence, until her voice message beeped again, signaling the end of my time, and the line went dead.

As good as Riva looked for her age, there was no chance that pregnancy test was hers. Rebel was the only other woman in the house. It couldn’t have been Kara’s. She had a newborn baby. It could have been Bliss’s, but the woman clearly already knew she was pregnant. Why would she take a test? And outside her own home?

I stabbed the call button and tried again to get a hold of Rebel. It rang for a while, but the result was the same. Her voicemail chirped in my ear. I tried Aloha and Ice, but neither answered. Which probably meant they were still out on the road with Rebel, and I was just going to have to be patient until they got back.

Not knowing what else to do, I fished the test out of the trash and went back into the house with it clutched in my hand. On autopilot, not thinking straight, I went up the stairs and walked back into the bathroom where I’d left Kian and Vaughn.

“Jesus!” Vaughn shouted. “A little privacy, please!”

I barely even took in the fact his cock was in Kian’s mouth. It didn’t even register. I just held up the pregnancy test.

Kian pulled away and stood, wiping his mouth with the back of his hand. “What the hell is that?”

“It was in the bin I took out.”

Vaughn yanked up the zipper on his fly and peered over at me. He froze. “The bin you just took out from this bathroom?”

Kian looked over at him. “No, the bin he just took out from Kim Kardashian’s house.”

“Is it Rebel’s?” Vaughn got out eventually.

“Pretty sure it isn’t your mom’s.” My fingers shook as I set the test down on the counter. “Rebel didn’t tell either of you?”

“No,” they said in unison.
