Kian linked his fingers and the back of his head and took a deep breath. But as he released it, a smile grew across his face. He leaned in, staring at the test again. “It’s seriously positive. There’s no mistaking it.”

There wasn’t.

Vaughn paced the length of the bathroom, his movements stiff and jerky. “I should call her.”

“Already did.” I slumped back against the wall. “It’s going to voicemail.”

“It might not be hers,” Vaughn insisted.

I let him have his freak-out because I’d already eliminated all the other possibilities.

But they all came back to one thing.

One idea that was rapidly taking a hold on my heart, wrapping it up in a feeling I hadn’t had until a little dark-haired siren had walked up to my table at Psychos and asked to go home with me.

She was having a baby.

A baby, who in a heartbeat, I’d already fallen in love with.

Kian’s grin had become so wide it rivalled the Cheshire Cat. “Hey, boys. Guess what?”

Vaughn and I both looked at him.

“We’re having a baby.”

Vaughn choked. “We’re? What do you mean we’re? Four people can’t have a baby, Kian!”

“Are you going to walk away from her?” I asked him quietly. “Because I’m not.”

“Me neither,” Kian said instantly, his gaze pinned on Vaughn.

Vaughn’s eyes turned dark, like the thought of walking away from Rebel was abhorrent. “Never,” he murmured. “I just…can’t.”

It was like the realization had only just hit him. How deep we all were. How bonded we’d become, not just to Rebel, but to each other as well. I might not have wanted to suck their dicks, but when Kian had gone missing, that had hit me like a ton of bricks. I hadn’t breathed until he’d returned.

Somewhere along the way, Rebel’s love for them had rubbed off on me. Though mine wasn’t sexual, it was still strong.

At some point when I wasn’t paying attention, we’d become a family.

And now Pix was cementing it with a baby in her belly.

Kian let out a laugh that was deep and full of humor. “Then like I said. I guess we’re having a baby.” But the color quickly drained from his face. “Fuck. I said some things to her yesterday… Things that might have made her think I wouldn’t want this.”

Vaughn and I both stared at him.

“What did you say?” I demanded.

He shook his head. “Fuck, I don’t even remember. Something about it being a disaster if we were in the same situation as Bliss…”

Vaughn groaned. “Kian!”

“Yeah, I know, I know! It’s bad. I don’t even know why I said that, because now I know it’s happening, it actually seems pretty cool to have a little mini-me.”

Vaughn eyed him. “As if your swimmers would have been fastest. If they’re anything like you, they probably stopped off at a karaoke bar on their way to the uterus.”

I would have laughed at Vaughn’s sarcastic sense of humor if I hadn’t had other things on my mind. “It’s getting late, and she’s not answering her phone.”

A door slammed downstairs, and we all hustled into the hallway to peer over the banister.
