Kyle

Where the fuck did she get another tube of that color?

That’s the excruciatingly dominant thought that pervades my mind throughout this entire ninety-minute meeting.

Riley didn’t ride into work with me wearing the shade I banned her from wearing over a month ago. Yet, she showed up to this meeting with it on. And I know I’m not the only one who notices how good it looks on her.

“That’s a superb idea, Riley,” Barry from marketing says.

My top lip curls up at him. That’s the third fucking time in this meeting he’s complimented her. Yes, her recommendations regarding this project are intriguing and, in my opinion, spot on, but why the fuck is he in her face?

“I think we should—"

“Drake, what are the numbers we’re talking about?” I cut Barry off to ask one of our accounting guys a question.

I barely hear the answer he gives me because I’m focused on how Barry leans into Riley to say something in her ear. I rise from my chair so fast it almost falls to the floor.

“If there’s something you need to share with the group, there’s no reason for you to whisper it in my wife’s ear.”

Gasps from all ten people in the room bounce off the walls around us. Riley’s eyes bulge, and the way her mouth falls open reminds me of how badly I want my cock in her mouth.

That damn shade on her lips is driving me insane.

Yeah, this is the most unprofessional bullshit ever but the hell if I care right now.

“Did you say your wife?” a woman’s voice asks.

I think it’s Janet from our R&D department, but I don’t care enough to turn my attention away from the fucker who’s obviously hitting on my wife.

“The matching wedding rings should’ve been enough of a clue.” I glare at Barry who looks from my left hand to Riley’s. “Aren’t you in marketing? You should have a keen eye for these types of things.”

“Barry was asking to confirm one of the details of my report,” Riley says.

My fist tightens at my side at the way she defends him.

“This meeting has gone on long enough. We’ve covered all of our bases, correct?”

Everyone nods.

“Fine.”

I mutter something about having a follow-up meeting in a week and to leave any additional comments with my assistant. I’m around the table and taking Riley by the elbow in a flash.

“You, me, my office,” I say as I practically drag her out of the room. I don’t stop as I lead her to the elevator that takes us directly to my office floor. I can’t stop to look at her because I might do something crazy like strip her down right in the fucking lobby and bend her over the receptionist’s desk.

Come to think of it, that was one of my dreams last night.

It’s bad enough that the four-inch heels she’s wearing are click-clacking against the floor as she walks. That damn sound makes my heart race even more.

“What the hell was that?” Riley whisper-yells as soon as I slam the door behind her.

“Exactly my fucking question. Why the hell was he so damn close to you? And why are you wearing that color lipstick?”

“It’s my favorite shade and I wear it to feel confident sometimes. Did you forget I had an earlier meeting with your father and some of the board members?”

“This isn’t the first meeting you’ve worn that color in today?” I growl.
