Damn, his head hurt. But the rest of him feltoh, yeah.

It had been a really long time.

He became aware of the sound of the shower running.

And the person in the bathroom started to sing.

It was a Hayden Ross song. That was all he knew for sure. He couldn’t have placed the title and he certainly didn’t know the lyrics well, but it was definitely one of Hayden Ross’s.

And that was definitely Becca singing it.

And the feeling ofyesthat coursed through him was intense. He’d had sex last night. With Becca. And she was now in the shower. Singing. That was good. That was very good.

The next second he frowned.

Because he could not, for the life of him, conjure much more than those flashes of memories from the night before.

Oh…fuck.

He’d had sex with Becca and he didn’t fucking remember it?

He scrubbed his face with his hands.

Noooo.

The door opened.

He looked up slowly.

Becca stepped out, wrapped in a towel.

She propped her shoulder against the doorway. “Hi.”

“Mornin’.”

“I wasn’t sure if I should wake you. People are texting that they’re going down to the buffet here at the hotel for breakfast, but they’re going in shifts.”

He nodded, just looking at her. She was so fucking gorgeous. Sure, part of it was her being clad in only a towel. But he found her gorgeous in anything. Making it hard to breathe right now, though, was the soft smile she was giving him.

She didn’t seem upset. She didn’t seem nervous. She didn’t seem angry.

She seemed really, really happy.

Damn, he wanted this girl happy. As happy as she could possibly be. Every damned day of her life.

“How are you?” he asked.

Her smile grew. “Better than I’ve been in a long time.”

He blew out a breath. That was a pretty good answer. “I’m extremely hung over,” he told her. It seemed that he needed to put that out there.

She frowned. “Yeah, I’ve definitely got a headache. Do you…” She paused and wet her lips. “Remember last night?”

“Up until about the third casino,” he admitted, thinking back. “And then…only bits and pieces from there.”

She pushed away from the door. “Oh.”

“I remember that…” He glanced at the bed, then back to her. “It…happened. I just don’t remember every detail.” He grimaced. “Sorry. Trust me, I really fucking wish I did. But I didn’t want to lie to you about that.”
