Lifting her arms to gather him close, she laughed. “We have a song!”

“Of course, we have a song.” Combing her hair back, those extraordinary eyes scanned her face. “You know, I’ve thought that it was while dancing with you to this song, I fell for you. But that portrait at the exhibition, the one where I’m staring directly at the camera? You took that one long before we danced. Don’t ask me how it happened, but, looking at it tonight, it’s so obvious I was already in love with you at that point. I probably fell for you way back in February when you and Craig stayed at the B and B.”

Smiling up at him, she pulled his head down. “Told you not everything can be explained by only relying on facts.”

With his eyes on her, his hand moved slowly over her shoulder, down her side and up again before it closed around one of her breasts. “Will you tell me again?”

She didn’t have to ask what he wanted to know. It was easy to read the uncertainty still lurking in his eyes.

Sliding her fingers in his hair, she brought his mouth closer to hers. “I love you, Mitch Miller. I never thought I’d be given another chance at love until you bellowed yourself into my heart.”

“You made fun of me.” He grinned.

“You were so angry all the time.”

“Looking back, I now realize it was probably mostly frustration. I think I loved you long before I saw you.”

Laughing, she traced the outlines of his mouth. “Oooh, you’ve got lines—I love it. Do you think we can now stop talking so that I can show my fiancé exactly how much I love him?”

Mitch was stillstaring into Riley’s beautiful eyes when she lifted her body in a surprising move and flipped him over. Before he could catch his breath, she was on top of him and he was lying under her. Her gorgeous hair fell down her milk-white shoulders, those perky breasts tantalizingly close to his mouth. What was a man to do but have a taste?

But she had other plans. “Lie back and enjoy. I’ve been dreaming about this for a long time.” With her eyes on him, she slid down his body before, with a grin, she bent down and put her warm, wet lips against his abdomen. “Love, love your six-pack,” she mumbled, making him feel ten feet tall.

Her hands were soft but insistent as they followed her mouth farther and farther down his body, sending his blood way beyond boiling point. By the time she reached his loins, he was ready to explode.

With a groan, he reached down and pulled her up. “If you do that, I won’t last,” he got out. This time he was the one to change their positions so that she was lying beneath him.

“Kiss me?” Slipping her hand around his head, she pulled him down.

She had timeto see the flash in his eyes before their mouths met again. His mouth crushed hers in a searing kiss, his tongue eager as it shot through to dance with hers. Restless hands roamed over her flesh, just not touching her breasts, tormenting them both.

Within minutes, she was tangled around him, trying to get as close to him as humanly possible. His breath was ragged when his mouth finally closed around one breast at the same time his hand found her heat. The climax slammed into her, leaving her shuddering and helplessly calling out his name.

“Beautiful,” he whispered as he gave her more, took more until everything else around her faded.

All she was aware of was Mitch—his taste, his smell, his urgent hands, the soft words he murmured in her ear. Blinded by need for him, she took him in her hand, reveled in his low moan as they rolled over the bed.

Finally, Mitch hoisted himself above her, gripped her hands as he entered her, those extraordinary eyes darkened by desire. Trying to keep her eyes on him, she quickly found his rhythm, rode with him until together they reached the peak. His head dropped back, and with a feral growl, he called out her name over and over until, together, they crested.

Chapter Twenty

They were latefor breakfast. It was clear by the cars parked in front of Annie’s B and B, everyone was still here, waiting for them.

As Mitch opened Riley’s door for her, the front door flew open. Annie and Vivian stepped out.

“You’re late,” Annie called out but before Mitch could respond, Dylan appeared between his aunts.

“Mom, Uncle Mitch!” he yelled and raced down the stairs toward them.

Riley ran forward to pick up her son. “I’ve missed you.” She smiled and kissed him.

“Where have you been?” Dylan asked.

“With Mitch. We… I…” She looked at Mitch.
