The next moment, Dylan jumped to the ground and rushed around the table to where Janice was sitting. “My Christmas m’racle, Aunt Janice.”

Janice was openly crying. Sniffling, she wiped her eyes and bent down to kiss Dylan’s head. “It’s not only your Christmas miracle, sweet boy, it’s also mine.”

“What Christmas miracle?” Mitch asked, not quite sure what they were talking about.

Aunt Janice smiled tremulously. “Dylan asked Santa if you could be his dad.”

Mitch had to swallow a few times before he could speak. Riley’s hand found his, and he turned to her. “A Christmas miracle indeed,” he said.

Aiden cleared his throat. “You may have Dylan’s blessing, but you don’t have mine and Craig’s yet.”

Resignedly, Mitch got up and walked around the table to where Aiden and Craig were sitting. “You just want to crush my hand, don’t you?”

Grinning, both men got up. “Hell, yeah. Remember how you treated us?”

Enduring their very hearty handshakes and ribbing, Mitch found Riley’s eyes across the table.

Her eyes were bright with tears, but she was smiling. He’d probably always be amazed he’d been given the chance to meet her, to fall in love with her, and to know she loved him, too.

“So, when are you getting married?” Annie asked. “Because I have to warn you, the gossip mill is probably already spreading rumors about Craig’s car parked in front of Mitch’s house last night. Someone would’ve seen something.”

“When is Christmas?” Mitch asked.

“Monday,” Vivian said.

“Riley?” he asked, meeting her eyes. “What about a Christmas wedding?”

“You’re crazy!” Annie called out before Riley could open her mouth. “That’s the day after tomorrow! The Graff is probably fully booked… except…” Clapping her hands, she stared at Mitch. “How many people do you want to invite?”

“Let’s ask my introvert bride.” He chuckled.

Riley laughed, and his heart settled. “Just us.”

“You sure?” Annie asked. “So we can have it here? On Christmas? We already have a menu; I’ve made most of the food already. We just need to add more bling. Oh, this is perfect!”

Riley’s eyes were bright as she looked at him. “I don’t have a dress…”

“Tomorrow,” Vivian said. “Craig, Aiden—you two will take Riley to Bozeman to find a dress. Aunt Janice…”

“I’ll be here bright and early to help,” she said, clapping her hands. “It’s perfect, just perfect.”

On Christmas morning,Riley jumped out of bed. Much to Mitch’s, and to be quite honest, to her own dismay, Annie had insisted she slept in one of the B and B’s beautiful rooms last night.

It was just for one night, though, and she’d enjoyed spending time with Mitch’s sisters and Aunt Janice the previous evening.

Aiden and Craig had apparently taken Mitch to a bar. Which one, no one knew. Aunt Janice had warned both her godsons quite a few times to stay away from a place called Wolf Den.

She wouldn’t be surprised if that was exactly where her brother and cousin had taken Mitch, but she’d heard when Craig got home last night and it hadn’t been that late.

She reached out to pull the curtains aside. Hopefully her bridegroom would be on time…

Her hand froze. Panic reared its head, her heart rate increasing. What if…

Her phone rang. It was a video call from Mitch. With her heart in her throat, she sat down on the closest chair and answered the call. Probably best to be seated. What if he wanted to call the whole thing off?

Mitch’s face filled the small screen. Sans shirt, he was smiling at her. “Hi, gorgeous.”
