Stacey flew back to the table and about fell into her seat, her hands over her mouth and her eyes wide. “Oh. My. God.” She spoke into her palms.

Tristan placed his arm around her shoulders. “Stace. What’s wrong? What happened?”

She tried to avoid Adler’s stare, but couldn’t. “She was having sex in the bathroom.”

At that time, Callie came back and plopped back in her seat, like nothing happened, brushing her hands through her hair.

“What?” Adler yelled and pushed up from the table. His nostrils flared as his face turned a bright shade of red. Stacey was scared of his blood pressure and Callie. He looked furious. Rightly so.

Just then, the server walked by the table, followed closely by his manager. The server said something to Adler that Stacey couldn’t quite make out, but the words kick and ass were in there.

Adler lunged at him.

Adler was quick, but the server was ready. Adler’s punch landed in the server’s gut, and he threw a left hook that hit Adler in the jaw. Tristan grabbed Adler to hold him back. While someone came and pulled their server away.

In the ruckus, Callie’s strawberry daiquiri spilled down the front of her white dress. She screamed, and the manager asked them all to leave.

Tristan pulled Adler outside as Stacey gathered their phones and pulled Callie from the restaurant.

“She needs to find another way home.” Adler bellowed when they were waiting by Tristan’s truck. He got in her face. “You’re not coming home with us, you fucking slut.”

Stacey started laughing. She couldn’t help it. Yes, their night was messed up, but the look of confusion on Callie’s face was too much. It was like she didn’t understand why Adler wanted nothing to do with her. Add in the red stain all over the front of her white dress. It was funny. If she didn’t laugh, she’d probably cry.

Callie stalked away and called an Uber.

Kristen was sitting at the kitchen table with an extra-large bowl of ice cream when Stacey trudged into her house and slammed the door.

“Shit, what happened? Why are you home so early?” Kristen’s face was filled with concern as Stacey grabbed a Diet Coke from the refrigerator and a spoon from the drawer, slamming everything harder than necessary.

“Adler’s a dick, and the girl he had with him tonight is a whore and Tristan had to take Adler home.” Stacey plopped in the chair next to Kristen, popped open her can of Diet Coke, and took a large spoonful of her friend’s ice cream.

Kristen watched as Stacey attacked her bowl, then slid it over to Stacey. “Okay, then. Are you going to give me details, or do I have to dig it out of you?”

Stacey shook her head. “Tonight was a nightmare.”

Kristen’s face lit up. “What happened?”

Stacey started recalling the entire night to Kristen.

Kristen was listening with interest, and she held onto every word.

Stacey held up her hand. “Oh, wait. It gets better. You’ll never believe where I found her.”

“Where?” Kristen was an attentive audience.

“She was in one of the stalls with our server, and from the sounds I heard, he wasn’t giving her toilet paper.”

Kristen’s hands shot to her mouth. “Holy shit! Seriously? Sex in a bathroom stall, on a date with another guy, and a hot one at that!”

“Can’t make this shit up.”

“No, you can’t. That’s awesome!”

Stacey continued to tell Kristen about the mother who walked in and called the manager, the fight at the table, and getting kicked out of the restaurant.

Kristen busted out laughing.

It was still pretty funny. Stacey laughed also.
