“He’s not a butler, Arch. I wouldn’t let him. Stand down. He saved me. You owe him a thank you.”

“Thank you,” I mumbled, taking the cases from Nee’s hands. “Are you leaving?” I asked her nervously.

“Lea called earlier. It was like when I met you. I can’t remember her, but she felt so familiar. She reinforced what I’d been thinking; that Miami isn’t my home and I need to leave.”

“Right…” I replied, feeling defeated.

“Apparently my best friend has a whole lot of pull when it comes to getting what she wants. So she arranged for us to have a girl’s bus to follow you for the rest of your tour and then we can all travel back to the UK together.”

“What?” I let go of the handles of her luggage, letting them fall to the floor with a loud thud.

“Shit. Maybe you don’t want me to come. Maybe you’re surrounded by groupies and living your best life. I didn’t even think.”

Closing the distance between us, I wrapped my hand around the back of her neck. “What part of engaged, love of my life and will make you fall in love with me again, didn’t you hear? You think I’d ever cheat on you?”

I—I.”

“Never. I’d love you to come on tour with us, and I’m so excited that you’re coming home.”

“Where is home?”

“Well, it was with me. In my house… our house, but you have an apartment that we never got around to renting out, so if you want to live there, I’d totally understand.”

“Do I have to decide now?”

“No. But you do have to come give me a hug, because I thought you’d vanished on me again and it scared the shit out of me.”

Pressing her body into mine, we curled around each other, her head nestling into my neck, making my cock instantly hard.

“Sorry, I wanted to surprise you.”

“Well, you definitely did that. Come on, let’s get back to the hotel. We’ve got an early start in the morning.”

“Shit, I didn’t think about beds. I can sleep in with Fox and you and Lea can share.”

Nee and I stood in the doorway of the one bedroom in my hotel suite, staring at the king size bed.

Nee laughed. “I think Lea has other plans for tonight. That girl is amazing. I think she’s my spirit animal. I could never be as sexually open as her.”

“You do remember what you do for a living, right?”

“Right, but that was just art. I mean, I don’t think I was into anything weird in my sex life… was I?”

I zipped my lips and pretended to toss away the invisible key.

She moved toward the bed, skimming her fingers over the crisp white sheets. “Well, even if I was into every kink and always up for it, I think that might have changed since my surgery, too.”

I stepped next to her, perching myself on the mattress, tapping the space beside me. She glanced between me and the bed, chewing on her bottom lip nervously while deciding her next move. Eventually, she sat.

“What makes you say that?”

“I’ve not felt… well, anything.” She blushed. “Down there. And I’m scared. What if I had an orgasm and my poor, broken brain couldn’t cope?”

“Did the doctors say that would happen?”

“No,” she replied, offering me a tight smile. “I guess I’m just worried.” Her blush deepened, spreading slowly up her neck as she kept her eyes fixed on the carpet as we spoke.

“And I can understand why. It’s why you don’t want to come to my gigs. There are too many things you can’t control and you don’t know how they’ll affect you.”
