I frowned. “You did look after me.”

“No, I’m meant to be in control. I shouldn’t have lost control or passed out. I should have taken care of you. That’s my job.”

I pressed my nose to her hair, breathing her in. “You’re not my domme. We’ve never been like that. I want us to take care of each other. Give each other what we want… what we need. You did the right thing. You cut me out quickly. Maybe we just need to be more prepared for us both losing our mind when we play like that… just in case.”

“I like that. Last night was… a lot. More than I thought it would be. I wanted to make it good for you, but it was overwhelming. I’m sorry if I let you down.”

I slammed my lips to hers, stealing her words until she melted in my arms. “Never, ever apologize. I love you. I love what we have and we will find a way to make all our desires come true. Even if they make us pass out right after.”

“Now, we have the whole day free, so is there something you want to do?”

“I want to order room service. I’m starving. Then can we visit go sight seeing… maybe an art gallery?”

“Art gallery? Only if they have octopus porn,” I laughed.

“Hey,” she cried, slapping my arm. “Will I ever be forgiven for the octopus?”

I shook my head. “What gallery do you want to visit first?”

“That’s easy,” she replied, her eyes lighting up. “The Met.”

“Okay, order us some room service while I talk to Pete, and let’s work out if it’s safe.”

“I forget how famous you are,” she sighed.

I cupped her face. “Regrets?”

I watched as her face softened and her mouth curled into a smile. “With you, never. I’m proud of everything you do. Now, do you want American bacon?”

“Hell, yes.”

I left Ionee to talk to Charlie and Fox about my plan, and then I texted Dawson, asking him to meet me.

Fifteen minutes later, I was back in our room, barely able to contain my smile.

“Arch?” she questioned, knowing me too well. I rolled my lips together and tried to avoid her stare. “Should I be worried?” she giggled. Grabbing a slice of crispy bacon from the plate set out on the dining room table, I bit down so I didn’t have to answer. Once I’d slowed my excited heart, I looked at her. Fresh from the shower, her wet hair dripping down onto the white robe she wore, I sighed, happier than I’d ever felt in my life.

Pulling up a chair, I began to pile up my plate with food, but all I really wanted was to touch her and tell her my secret. Instead, I tapped my thigh and waited until she sat.

Twisting her so her chest faced me, I tugged open her gown and groaned loudly as I exposed her pert breasts. Pulling her nipple into my mouth, she arched forward, raking her fingers through my hair.

“Arch. Stop trying to distract me. I know something is going on… did something happen?” she panted as I rolled my tongue around her pebbled bud. “God, I want you inside me so much, but if I don’t eat, I might die… or at least faint.”

“How about you eat food and I’ll eat you…” I mumbled against her breast.

Just as I thought she was going to agree, an alarm sounded on my phone. “Shit, eat up. We need to leave in thirty minutes, and I need to shower before we go.”

“Where are we going?” she asked, readjusting her gown and slipping from my lap.

“We’re going to go have some tourist fun. Now eat.”

“Archer, that was amazing,” Ionee squealed as she threw her arms around my neck once we were in the back of the car. We’d just left the Met museum, and I was sure it was good, but I hadn’t been able to take my eyes off Nee. Watching her was addictive. She’d burst into tears when we stepped inside the Great Hall. “I’ve wanted to come here my whole life,” she whispered, her hand buried in mine as she leaned her head on my shoulder. “Thank you.”

I kissed her forehead. “Come on, beautiful. Show me all this fabulous art.”

Her excitement grew with each exhibit we moved through.

“You know, I thought we’d start with some modern, weird art. I didn’t think the old stuff would be your cup of tea,” I admitted.
