I wrapped myself greedily around Archer one last time before I shared him with the world, kissing him hard until he groaned. “Go,” I whispered. “But come back soon.”

“I’ll be back in a heartbeat, my forever octopus.”

I couldn’t hide the smile from my face as I watched Archer head back to the stage, his arms slung around Fox and Charlie, making the audience go wild. For the next twenty minutes, they rocked out some of their biggest hits, Charlie singing at the front of the stage, Fox rocking out on his guitar, and Archer on the piano. But honestly, the only person I was really watching was my fiancé.

Chapter 20

Archer

“Ican’tbelieveI’mmarrying Archer Walters, Alchemy Myth rock star,” Ionee sighed from where she lay in bed next to me. We’d left the gig last night after I’d taken Charlie’s advice and fucked Nee hard and fast in one of the back rooms, unable to wait to sink inside her and hear her cry out my name, then we’d come back to the hotel and both passed out. Now the early morning light streamed in through the enormous floor to ceiling windows in the bedroom, giving us the perfect view over Central Park.

“And I can’t believe I get to marry you, Ionee Millar. I keep thinking I’m going to wake up and this is all a dream.”

Sitting up, she pressed a kiss to my cheek. “You’re stuck with me, Arch. I’m not going anywhere. Ever.”

I rubbed my hand over her bracelet. “Are you sure you don’t want to go ring shopping?”

“Never,” she pulled her hand to her chest. “It’s perfect. Everything about how you asked me was perfect. Plus, you’re right, I don’t want the world knowing about us yet. Right now the press is just speculating, and I get a ton of hate online. Can you imagine how bad it will be when they know you’re mine for keeps?”

“You’re not reading that stuff, are you?”

She sighed. “I try not to, but it’s hard to ignore sometimes. Your fansreallydon’t like me.”

“But I do, beautiful.” I nipped her bottom lip and pulled her on top of me.

“Argh, no. I need a wee, plus I’m starving, and Ireallywant to go out there for a walk.” She pointed out the window at the park. “It’s still early. Do you think we can?”

“Go pee, let me call Pete and then we can eat when we get back. Sound good?”

Flinging her arms around my neck, she kissed me quickly before running naked to the bathroom, making me wish we didn’t have to leave this room ever again.

“Where do you want to get married, Nee?” I asked as we walked hand in hand through Central Park surrounded by four bodyguards who were close enough to keep up safe, but far enough away not to hear our conversation.

“Honestly?”

“Of course.”

“On a beach. Barefoot… obviously, because shoes are just implements of torture. In a long, flowing dress with a crown of flowers.”

“In England?”

She threw her head back, laughing. “No, I was thinking somewhere warmer.”

“Done. What about kids? How many should we have?”

Nee paused, her eyes dropping to the floor. “What if I’m like her? What if I want to leave?”

I didn’t try to reassure her or promise her it wouldn’t be like that because I had no clue what the future held, but I knew who she was and how hard she loved. “None of us know what sort of parents we will be or even what the future holds, but deep down, do you want kids?”

“Yes,” she whispered. “I wantourkids.”

“And that’s all I need to hear.”

“Do you want kids, Arch?”

“Yes. The thought of little people who look like you or me running around. God, it makes my heart ache. When do you want to get married?”

“Tomorrow? Is that too soon?”
