“Go get Lea one of my shirts to get changed into. I’m going to check her dressings and make sure you didn’t make her bleed, and then we’re going to watch a film and snuggle.”

Dawson pushed up from the bed, sulking like a schoolboy at his telling off. “I don’t like snuggling.”

Marshall grabbed him by the wrist, pulling him hard against his chest. “About as much as I don’t like men.” Spinning him around, he slapped Dawson hard on the ass. “And I’m going to show you just how much I like men soon. Now, go get her a shirt.”

In that moment, something dawned on me. I was happy. Surrounded by people who cared about me and who I loved, in the kind of relationship I’d only ever dreamed about.

“I love you. All of you. Thank you for saving me and staying with me, even though I tried to run.”

“Shush, take your top off, and let me make sure you’re not bleeding internally and delirious from the pain.”

I smiled at Marshall’s fake anger and let him ease off my top, watching him let out a sigh of relief when he checked my stitches.

Placing a kiss to my head, he pulled my naked body into his side. “Don’t tell the others,” he whispered, loudly enough that Fox could hear him from where he sat on the bed. “But I’m glad we pissed off that witch and got stuck together.”

Dawson

Iwoke, notknowingwhere I was. Glancing around the room, I realized I was in the daybed in Fox’s lounge… our lounge. Pushing up, I looked down. Despite the size of the bed, Lea was laid across Marshall’s chest, Fox’s arm across her back, his palm flat against Marshall’s pec. I was right on the edge of the bed, holding onto to Marshall’s hand, but I wanted more. I wanted their heat and the rhythmic sound of their breath to lull me to sleep. I wanted to be a part of them.

“Don’t overthink it. Come here,” Marshall demanded.

“Because you’re telling me to?” I whispered.

“If it makes it easier to say yes, then because I’m telling you to.”

“It does. For future reference, it really helps.”

He cracked open an eye, his lips curling into a delicious smile. “Good to know. Now come here.” He released my hand and lifted his arm. “I promise, no light touches and you can rub that hard cock against my hip all night.”

I let out a soft laugh. “Well, when you put it like that.” Curling into Marshall’s side, he wrapped his arm around me. I fell asleep in minutes and had the best sleep of my life.

Chapter 35

Marshall - 6 months later

“Knockknock.”

I looked up from my computer to find Matt standing in the doorway with a man I’d seen around the building, who looked like he was about to murder anyone who got in his way, and two women standing behind him.

“Matt, come in.” I shut down my laptop and pointed to the sofa across the room in my stupidly large office. I’d argued that I didn’t need such a big space when they gave me the fancy job title of Head of Emergency Care for the entire label and tripled my salary, which I’d also tried to refuse. In the end, I’d taken it and I had to admit, I loved having a space that was all mine in a building where Fox, Dawson, and Lea all worked. When we could, we traveled to work together, took lunch with whoever was about, and then went home with each other.

Since coming clean about my past and coming out to them, things had gone from strength to strength. I no longer felt like a spare part, only there because of the tattoos on our forearms, and instead, I felt like an integral part of their lives. I felt needed and wanted. I felt loved, even though it was only Lea who had said it to me.

I followed Matt over to the seating area and took the last empty chair.

“Marshall, I can’t tell you how well the training is going. I knew you’d be an amazing addition to the team, but I have a question for you… well, they do. I’m going to sit back and tell you that we’re fine with it if you want to say yes. Let me start with some introductions. You remember the background check I told you about?”

I nodded.

“Well, this is Thomas Lanton. He is our man who can find everything about anyone. He’s been helping the Gods for years.”

“I’ve seen you about, haven’t I?” I asked.

“I’ve been working for the label, taking care of Fern for a while.”

“Fern, as in the woman who runs the label while Addi is on maternity leave?”

“Yeah, she had some family problems and needed a little extra security.”
