“Pete was moaning about how bossy he is,” he laughed.

I shrugged because I wasn’t sure what to say. I was having a hard enough job hiding my relationship with Dawson without mentioning that Marshall had watched us fuck and then made out with Lea while we’d made her come with our fingers.

My cock thickened at the memory.Down boy.“I need a shower.”

“Me too. I have another hot date with Nee.”

And just like that, Lea and Ionee appeared next to us, Le wrapping her arms around my neck. “Eugh, you’re all sweaty.” She wrinkled her nose.

“Well, I have just been rocking out on stage for three hours.”

“You need a shower.”

“I do.”

She buried her hands in my hair, as her lips ghosted my ear. “You do, but I think I want to be on my knees for you first.”

I licked my lips as my hands moved to her ass. “We should get going then.”

She giggled as I maneuvered her to the stage door, and she waved goodbye to Nee over her shoulder. “You coming?” I murmured to Dawson on the way past. He glared at me, looking almost angry. “Daw?”

“What? Not all of us can flaunt our relationships. Some of us have to keep up the pretense and do our jobs,” he hissed at me quietly through clenched teeth.

I reared back, not bothering to keep my voice down. “Was there something wrong with our set?”

“No, but—”

“But nothing. Don’t insinuate that I’m not doing my job. What’s your problem?”

His eyes flared, and he opened his mouth to speak, but then he shook his head before turning and storming off.

Lea shouted his name, but it was swallowed up by the sounds of the still screaming crowds leaving the venue.

“You ready to leave?” Marshall asked, suddenly appearing in front of me.

I looked back at where Dawson had disappeared to. “Yes. Yes, we are.”

Dawson

IstayedlongafterI needed to, watching the crew take down the set and having a one sided argument with Fox in my head, saying all the things I wish I’d said to his face earlier.

Pushing my fingers through my hair, I let my head fall back as I stared up at the ceiling, blowing out a long breath as I tried to calm the emotions rolling through me like a storm. I hadn’t felt this out of control in a long time, and I wasn’t sure what to do with it. In the end, I did the only thing that made any sense. I pulled my phone from my pocket and typed out a message.

Me: I think I need to quit.

Less than a minute later, my phone rang. I stared at it until they rang off, but seconds later, it started ringing again. I knew they wouldn’t give up, so I reluctantly answered.

“Dawson, are you okay?”

“You didn’t need to call me, Addi.”

She tutted. “My favorite manager tells me he wants to quit. You bet your ass I’m going to call.”

“You tell us all we’re your favorite, so that won’t work with me.”

“Are you somewhere you can talk?”

I pressed my back to the wall of the greenroom and slid down to the floor, pulling my knees to my chest. “Yes.”
