“Right, I’m going to go. I need a shower and I’m exhausted. I have to admit, I’m looking forward to having the bed to myself tonight.”

She moved away from him as the smile slipped from her lips. “Night.”

“I’ll be back for breakfast, Sugar.”

Dawson stood too, putting the now empty plate on the tray with the others before pressing a kiss to Lea’s forehead. “I’ll see you in the morning, Sunshine. I need to go and do some work.”

“Me too,” she replied.

I flopped down next to her, wrapping my arm around her shoulders. “Take a keycard each, so I don’t have to get up in the morning to let you in… you know how I feel about mornings. You can order breakfast and get the coffee on before you wake us.”

Dawson shook his head.

“Please, Daddy,” I pouted, making him laugh.

“We’ll see. Be good, both of you.”

It was just after 1 am when I heard the click of the lock and footsteps padding into the room. A loud huff sounded out before the bed dipped. I opened one eye to find Marshall pulling Lea toward him.

She whispered his name, obviously surprised he was there too.

“It’s too quiet, Sugar. I’m exhausted and I can’t fall asleep without your snoring punctuating the silence.”

She slapped his chest before nuzzling into his pec, pulling my arm around her waist.

Twenty minutes later, just as I was falling asleep again, Dawson climbed into bed. “Not a word… any of you. Turns out an empty bed isn’t as good as I remember. But I’m still not snuggling.” But with that, he reached across and took my hand, wrapping our fingers together and letting his arm fall against Marshall’s chest.

“What are we going to do when we get back to the UK?” Lea murmured sleepily.

“You’re all going to move in with me,” I replied. I’d not thought about it before, but the words felt so right.

“Yeah, we are. You live in a fucking mansion, Bunny. Plus, your bed is so big we could add a couple more hotties to our group.”

“Fuck off. No more people,” Marshall fired out, keeping his eyes closed. “I can barely cope with the two of you without adding more cocks to the mix.”

Lea giggled.

“You love it,” Dawson replied.

Marshall let out a long breath, but he couldn’t hide the smile that tugged at the corners of his mouth, probably thinking it was too dark for any of us to notice. “I do not like men like that. How many times, y’all.”

“Until we believe you. Now shut up and go to sleep, Muscles.”

“I don’t want anyone else. You three are perfect.” Lea sounded so sleepy I wondered if she was awake enough to remember what she’d said, but I’d heard it and it made my heart happy, because despite how we got here, what we had with each other felt pretty perfect.

Chapter 19

Dawson – 1 month later

“HeySunshine, youstillfree for lunch?” I leaned against Lea’s open office door. She glanced up from her desk, looking exhausted, shaking her head and pointing to the piles of paper on her desk. “I can’t. Sorry. Things are crazy here. It’s less than a week till the Mercury’s and everything that could go wrong is going wrong.”

“Where’s your assistant?”

“She quit. After two days. The agency promised to send me someone new, but by the time I’ve trained them, the awards will be here. I need someone who can just come in and get on with it like Freddie would have done, but assistants like him are like gold dust."

I walked toward her, perching on the edge of her desk next to where she sat. “You can’t ask him to come and help?”

“No. I mean, I promoted him to run the other side of the business. I can’t expect him to be my assistant again, plus he’s juggling all the other work we have going on.”
