She took off her glasses, pressing her face into her hands as she sucked in a deep breath before letting it out again.

“Look, you need to eat. Come and get a quick lunch and I promise that a break and some fresh air will help give you a new perspective. And you never know, magic things might happen while we’re out.”

She looked up at me. “I think I preferred the stoic version of you. I can’t cope when you’re all optimistic.”

“I blame Bunny. He’s annoyingly positive. Come on. I’ll be grumpy for an entire hour just for you.”

“And if I don’t come.”

I leaned forward. “Then I’ll call Marshall and we can turn that beautiful ass red tonight.”

Her pupils dilated as she bit down on her bottom lip. “Now that might be a punishment worth getting.”

“Get up. Come on.”

“Yes, Daddy,” she whispered so no one could hear the pet name she and Fox called me more and more these days, and it turned me on more than I wanted to admit. Taking care of them both… them all, had definitely become my love language.

Love…

“Where are Marshall and Fox today?” she asked as she pushed up from her desk, smoothing down her black pants before putting on her matching suit jacket.

“Fox is in the basement, with Charlie, Archer, and Mav putting the finishing touches to their new single, and Marshall is at the BBC with Anatomical Hourglass while they do an interview.”

Things had changed a lot over the last few weeks. We’d flown back from America and the three of us moved in with Fox; Marshall and I claiming one of his newly renovated bedrooms on the second floor, declaring we needed our own space, but every night we ended up in Fox’s giant bed, wrapped around each other pretending we didn’t want to be there, but not wanting to be anywhere else.

We realized pretty quickly that we could carry on with our lives and nothing bad seemed to happen, but we came back to the same house every night because none of us wanted to test what the words on our arms really meant.

And our relationship had changed as well, with all of us finding our apparent place in it. Marshall was our fire; he encouraged us, fanned the flames of our dreams and fuck, he brought even more heat into our sex life. He still claimed he was straight and wasn’t into sharing, but was just as obsessed with fucking Lea full of our cum and would do everything he could to have us ‘accidentally’ touch him. None of us even mentioned it anymore because it was just who he was. Fox continued going with the flow, accepting us into his home like we belonged there, never complaining about the wet towels Lea insisted on leaving in her wake or the unmade bed, because every time someone made it, we ended up back in it, fucking until it was a pile of crumpled sheets again. I took care of everyone—it let me feel like I was in control, although I knew that Marshall had taken over that role a while ago, not that I’d ever admit it and then there was Lea, who was the air that we all needed to inhale. She brought us together and cared about us fiercely.

Recently, I’d started to let myself think that this could be it; our happy ever after, but I was too scared to let myself get too complacent, so I pushed it to the back of my mind and carried on. Just like now. I needed to feed Lea and make a call because I knew someone who could help her out.

Lea excused herself to go the bathroom, and I typed out a message to Archer, telling him my plan, and a few minutes later, he replied.

She’s in. She can be there in an hour.

When Lea returned, I took her hand in mine. “Sushi in the park, Sunshine?”

“Sounds perfect.”

Lea and I found a shaded corner of grass in the park across the road from the office and for the next few hours, we ate lunch, talked, and made out like teenagers.

Lea

“Shit,Dawson, lookatthe time. I need to go. I had the best time, but I need to get back to work.” I looked up at him, literally glowing in the afternoon sun, his lips swollen from kissing me so much while we had lunch. Leaning back on his hands, he winked.

Dawson was hard to read. He didn’t show his emotions easily, but the longer I spent with him, the more I could work out his tells that showed me what was going on in his head. And right now, he was happy.

Pushing up to standing, he held out his hand, helping me up too before throwing our lunch leftovers into the trash and then guiding me back to the building we both worked in.

When we arrived on the 7th floor, I expected him to kiss me goodbye and head back to his office, but he followed me. As I got closer, I noticed someone sitting at my desk.

“Dawson, what did you do? Why is Archer’s sister on my computer?”

“I remember Sophia telling me she was a PA when I first met her. She was temping at a place she hated and wanted something more permanent. Archer mentioned the other day that she still had the same job and was miserable.”

I neared my office, and Sophia looked up at me, offering me a smile. “Lea. Great to see you again. Jane mentioned you were taking lunch, so I got started. I hope you don’t mind.”

My mouth fell open. “How did you log onto the system?”
