“Let them try,” Emma challenged, poking her tongue out at Logan. Who snapped at her with his teeth.

Lily tuned out of the conversation, chewing her lip and playing with the butterfly charm on her necklace, as Amelia’s words sunk in.

Aidan would soon be Emma’s brother-in-law.

Which meant if she let anything more happen between her and Aidan, it would always hang awkwardly between them.

Forever.

When Emma had children. At anniversaries where she and Aidan would both attend. Single or one of them shacked up.

Awkward.

So she wasn’t going to go down the path that would inevitably lead tohey remember that time in Hawaii we...

No.

Not to mention she was well aware he was way too much for her to handle.

I’m going to eat you alive.

Yes, he probably would.

Plus, she was here for Emma and had bridesmaid’s duties. And late at night, she would be ringing home to Chicago to check on her dad.

Lily sucked down the last of the Pina Colada and placed it on the bar behind her. Turning back, she avoided Aidan’s stare. She could feel him watching her, but Lily had made her mind up.

Nothing was going to happen.

Nearby, Harper, Kristen, and Jackson were dancing. Amelia downed her drink and skipped over to join them.

Blake and Jacob followed.

Daniel took the baby from Fletcher and held him up in front of him. Then he tucked him into his arm.

“Take it all in, little man. You and your cousins will be running this place one day.”

“Daniel Dufort. Are you getting clucky?” Olivia smirked, pulling her baby back onto her shoulder.

“Don’t be insane.” Daniel handed Baxter back to Fletch.

“You are most welcome to start teaching him how to be the next CEO of Dufort Hotel Group, but not before bedtime,” Fletcher said, taking the baby. “And on that note, we’re off to pretend to sleep.”

Olivia rolled her eyes and gave Lily a wink.

“Fletcher Dufort, stop pretending you are sleep deprived. You sleep in our spare room most nights. Thesoundproofedspare room.”

Lily laughed.

Her eyes accidentally drifted to the wrong Dufort man, and her tummy twisted.

Thankfully, he wasn’t looking.

But she took a moment to take in his thick dark hair, stunning green eyes, and dusting of hair on his jaw.

He was so sexy.

“I have a billion-dollar organization to run,” Fletcher retorted.
