“I should head back to my room, soak it in the bath, and have an early night. Jetlag and all that,” Lily said.

He did, but she could feel her defenses slipping now that the alcohol was kicking in.

Aidan stepped away as everyone returned from their dancing.

It was now dark. Around them, the hotels were lit up and she could hear the sounds of tourists and traffic from below them in Waikiki.

The atmosphere was happy and tropical.

And full of anticipation.

“We’re heading to one of the hot local night spots,” Jackson announced. “Who’s in?”

“Me,” Blake said, high-fiving Jackson.

“Me?” Jacob said, leaning on the bar and asking for water.

“Me three,” Kristen called out.

Emma turned to Lily in question.

“You’re not going home, are you?” Amelia asked. “It’s early. Emma. Aidan. Tell Lily she has to come dancing with us.”

“I’ll carry you if you can’t walk,” Aidan offered, and Logan shoved him.

“I can walk.” Lily slid off the stool and ended up bouncing on her foot, landing right up against Aidan’s chest.

He didn’t move.

His hands gripping her arms.

“I can walk,” she said. “It’s not broken, it’s just a cut, which is stinging a little.”

“You heard her. She can walk.” Logan shoved him again, and Aidan smirked and took a step back.

“So, are we doing this?” Harper said as Daniel nodded to one of the personal security guys.

“Two cars,” Daniel said as one of them walked over.

“Three,” Aidan corrected.

Daniel recounted the bodies and nodded. “Three,”

“I can walk,” Lily said. “Or Uber there and meet you all.”

Emma laughed and looped her arm around her neck. “Just follow my lead. Billionaires do things differently.”

Right.

No Ubers.

No walking.

“We should ditch the guys and make this your bachelorette party,” Harper said.

“No!” Kristen and Daniel said firmly at the same time as they all stepped into the elevator.

“Party poopers.” Harper crossed her arms. “I don’t plan for us to get arrested this time.”
