CHAPTER SIX
Lily closed the doorof her suite behind her and tossed her purse on the coffee table. Then she flopped down on the sofa and threw her head back.
Her nipples were aching.
Her panties soaked.
The last hour at the bar had been painful. Walking away from Aidan on the dance floor was all she could do.
She wanted him to kiss her. She wanted to drop to her knees and undo his pants. She wanted relief from this pain and torture, but calling him sir?
No.
No way.
That was going too far.
It wasallgoing too far.
So fine, she was using the brother-in-law angle as an excuse. They both knew that, but he was overwhelmingly gorgeous, and it scared her.
There was no way she would be the lover he wanted. Not to mention she didn’t do casual sex.
Or play bedroom games where she called a lover, sir. Did he have aFifty Shadeskink or something?
And telling her what she would do, instead of asking... well, it was shaking her to her core.
Worse, she wanted it.
She wanted him to force her legs apart and give her instructions.
Yet, it felt so wrong.
Even now her body disagreed. Her nipples pressed harshly against the cotton of her dress, and she was dying to slide her hand between her legs.
“Damn it. Why don’t I own a vibrator?” Lily said out loud.
Before she relieved the ache, she had a job to do. She glanced at the time on her phone and did a quick time zone conversion.
It was six thirty in the morning in Chicago. Her mom would be awake. She found her number and pressed send.
Her mom answered. “Lily, darling, how is Hawaii?”
“Hot. Beautiful. Sunny,” she replied, “Well, it’s nearly two in the morning, but itwassunny.”
She let out a giggle, wishing she could tell her about Aidan. Her mom was her best friend. So was Emma, but in recent years, as their lives drifted further apart and she shared the responsibility of caring for her father, her mom and her had become a tight team.
But this wasn’t something she wanted to tell anyone.
What would she say?
