Aidan felt his irritation turn much darker. This time, his patience was almost at zero. Without thinking, he walked straight up to her and loudly said, “Come on, baby, let’s get moving.”
Her eyes shot to his as he placed a hand on her lower back.
“What? No, I’m with friends.” Lily glared at him and took a step away.
I don’t fucking think so, peaches.
Aidan moved closer again, and her palm went to his chest. He covered it with his own and locked his eyes with hers, firmly telling her he was taking control.
“Hang up,” he hissed. “Now.”
Lily swallowed.
Aidan could hear the guy was still speaking, but neither of them were paying attention. He saw the fear in her eyes but pushed her anyway.
“Three seconds or I do it for you.”
“Matt. Matt. I have to go. I will talk to you later,” Lily said, and then, with a few more fucking promises to the asshole, she hung up.
They stood staring at each other, his hand still holding hers to his chest.
“What did you just do?” she gasped quietly. “He’s my boss, Aidan.”
He tugged her hips against him and leaned down, threading his hand through her hair. It didn’t occur to him to worry who might see. He just had to.
“You know what I did,” he said gruffly.
He’d taken possession of her.
Not just her body. He’d taken more. He’d demanded more. And not given her a choice.
What it meant after the next few days, he didn’t know. Right now, she was safe with him, and that was all that mattered. With Lily, he knew he had to go a little slow.
Hell, he needed time to wrap his head around what was happening inside his damn chest.
For now, they had something else to take care of.
“Let’s go to the pharmacy. I want to make sure we take care of that.”
Lily swallowed. Then, resigning to her fate, she nodded and glanced around him.
“Oh, I didn’t decide on which hat,” Lily said and when he released her, she walked over and picked up the three she’d been trying on.
Aidan pulled a hundred dollar note out of his pocket and handed it to the seller. Then grabbed all three of them.
“Let’s go.” He smirked as Lily ran after him, calling him crazy.
Yeah, about you,Aidan nearly replied.

AFEW HOURS LATER,they were all down on the beach, watching the sun go down, eating dishes they’d purchased from the food trucks, and sharing their shopping bargains.
Aidan and Lily had got the Plan B pills and then wandered around together.
He’d purchased her a few more things, and they’d argued the entire time about him paying. Which Aidan had found far more enjoyable than he’d expected.
Then, she’d surprised him with a HAWAII cap, taking him for his word earlier, and he didn’t have the heart to tell her he didn’t need one. She’d slipped it onto his head, and it was all he could do to not kiss the life out of her.
