Aidan stepped out ofthe elevator and lowered his sunglasses over his eyes. As he made his way across the rooftop bar, he slid his phone into the pocket of his long, tan Armani shorts.
It was a private event tonight for his boisterous family, who he could see surrounding the bar, dressed in their designer tropical attire. They were all holding huge cocktails and chatting animatedly.
As he approached, Emma and Harper laughed at something, and Daniel lifted his hand an inch to order another drink.
As CEO, Aidan wouldn’t be surprised if he only had to blink to have his employees running to please him. Fletcher and Hunter might also hold executive titles and equal shareholding, but the title Chief Executive Office was a powerful one.
They were all powerful and wealthy in their own ways.
Logan owned Dufort Liquor, which had just gone global. Watching him with Emma now, seeing the genuine happiness on his face, was almost a relief.
It might not have been a therapist’s approved solution, but Aidan had saved Logan from losing everything. He had spiraled after finding his first wife in bed with someone—their bed—and the board of his company was ready to remove him.
Aidan had pulled the Macallan bottle out of his hands and taken him to the sex club HEAT, he frequented in Philly. His brother had then used it as an outlet for fucking.
Again, he wasn’t gunning for shrink of the year, but sometimes you had to take one step onto the ladder before you could climb back up.
Not that there was anything wrong with sex clubs. He was a regular. If you went for the lifestyle and respected both yourself and those attending, then great.
Logan hadn’t done that.
He’d been fucking away his anger.
Then along came Emma, and after some nail-biting moments, the two had fallen in love and were wasting no time building a life together and sayingI do.
Aidan was happy for them.
He spotted his sister.
“Hey, sunshine.” He kissed Amelia on the top of her head.
