Lily nodded.

There was no point in pretending this trip wasn’t outside her budget. She was a PA from Englewood. Logan was a billionaire. And now, so was her best friend.

Actually, she didn’t know if that was true. Their finances were none of her business. But regardless, she was worlds apart from meeting them in the financial stakes.

Lily had a feeling that over time, she and Emma would drift apart as their lives became more different. For now, she was happy to be her bridesmaid and celebrate her friend finding the love of her life.

“Thanks. I won’t take advantage, though,” Lily said.

Logan barked out a laugh, his Rolex-clad arm still lying on Emma’s leg. “Take full advantage, Lily. Do your worst.”

Lily deadpanned him. “Sir, you clearly have no idea just how many twenty-dollar candy bars I am capable of eating in a day.”

Emma snorted. “Lil, you’re in one of the fancy suites. That shit is free. But by all means, order a fancy dessert platter every night.”

Lily gasped. “You... I don’t need a suite.”

“You’re our bridesmaid,” Logan said. “Plus, I know the owner, so we’re getting a good rate.”

“And it’s only for a few nights. We’re heading to Maui, remember?”

The wedding itself was taking place in Maui at a beautiful home on a private beach.

By home, she meant mansion.

“Just keep away from my brother.” Logan shot her a pointed look. “I know he was flirting with you at our engagement party. Let me know if he crosses any lines.”

Heat warmed her cheeks, so Lily turned to look at the Honolulu landscape as they drove along the highway toward Waikiki.

Too late.

Lines had been crossed.

“It was harmless flirting,” Lily replied. “I’m sure he’ll be distracted by all the beautiful tropical princesses.”

“Oh, you could meet a cute Hawaiian and have a holiday romance. Imagine if he ends up being the man you marry? Now that would be a good story to tell your kids,” Emma said.

“Okay, now you sound like Harper.” Logan shook his head.

Emma shrugged. “I sound like a romance author. Which I am.”

“It’s true. It never stops.” Lily grinned at Logan as he lifted his arm and put it around his bride.

“I suppose I can put up with you for the rest of my life.” He fake sighed.

“It’s too late. There’s no backing out now,” Emma said against his lips.

Ugh, they were too damn cute.

Lily turned back to the window and gave them their privacy. While Aidan and Logan weren’t twins, they certainly looked alike enough, with all that dark hair, bright intelligent eyes, and large frames, to set off a strange sensation in her body.

Anticipation.

Soon the car pulled into the sweeping entrance of the Dufort Hotel and butterflies swarmed her tummy.

Suddenly Lily knew.

Aidan was waiting for her. He’d said he would and now she had arrived, Lily knew he’d hunt her down and make true on his promise.
