Whining, she tiredly stomped her foot before slipping into my lap and throwing her arms around my neck. “Kolyenka, come back to bed now, please.”

She was being a brat, and she knew it. “Lisichka, I am only giving you one more chance to fix that attitude before I bend you over my knee.” No doubt she was still sore from earlier, so maybe I’ll be a little generous. “And where did you even learn that? Kolyenka.”

Her tired face instantly woke up at my question. Her confused, and slightly panicked eyes, shooting up into mine. “It’s nothing bad is it? I swear, I’ll kill Lev if it is, he said it’s supposed to be a cutesy thing with your name. I mean, it wasn’t his exact words, but he said it's a nice nickname of sorts with your name.”

Chuckling, I shook my head as I tucked her hair behind her ear. “No, it’s nothing bad, it’s just another diminutive of my name, specifically a more intimate one. You sure it was Lev that told you? And you trusted him?” Things between Lev and Angel have been better ever since that day. They weren’t best friends by any means, but they were getting along much better.

“Well, I asked Alexei for cute pet names I could call you in Russian, and Lev overheard and butted in. Alexei didn’t oppose it, so I decided it was safe. Unless those two just wanted to fuck with me, which I can see from Lev, but not Alexei.” She elaborated in a small voice.

“You could have asked me, you know.” I chuckled softly as I leaned back in my chair with my arms loosely wrapped around her small body.

“But then that would ruin the surprise.” She giggled, sticking her tongue out at me.

Smiling softly, I leaned in for a kiss, only to be stopped by her finger to my lips. “Nah ah, bed first.” Smirking, she slid out of my lap and pulled at my hands. “Come on, bed, please.” At least she actually sounded nice about it this time.

Deciding to let her win this time, I got up and let her drag me back to our bed where she pulled me down with a kiss and giggle. “I don’t think I’ll ever get tired of kissing you.” She whispered sweetly with a smile. Her fingers lightly danced down the side of my face as she looked at me with those soft and adoring eyes of hers. “Take my robe off.”

“As much as I want to ravage you again, it’s late and you have a shift in a few hours. You’re not going to get any sleep if we go for a few more rounds.” It never ended after one round with us, not with my little needy vixen. It didn’t help that I could never get enough of her no matter how many times I screwed her stupid.

Confused, I watched Angel shift under me shakily until she was on her frontside. “Please.” She trembled like a leaf under me, her breaths coming out broken and shaky.

“You don’t have to do this if you aren’t ready, Angel.” The two of us had this unspoken rule to not touchthatsubject ever since that night. I didn’t push her, and I respected her space more by being more mindful to not touch her upper back.

Just as I was about to pull my hand away, she stopped me by placing her hand against mine and firmly pressing it to her trembling body. “No, I’m tired of this wall between us. It’s not fair to you. I don’t think I’ll ever be ready to uncover this rock, but I can’t keep this wall between us.”

“I want—no need. I need you to help me break down that wall. I trust you.” The only time her eyes have stilled and didn’t have a look of reluctance were when she uttered those words. “Please.”

Gripping at the back of her silk robe, I bunched the thin material in my hand as I searched her eyes for any signs of hesitation or regret. It didn’t need to be said aloud. Both of us knew and accepted the fact there would be no return if we pushed forward. “Lisichka. Angel.” I gave her one last chance to turn back.

The trembling in her body stopped for a moment as her eyes hardened with surety. “I trust you. I am yours, and I trust you.”

No going back.

Roughly, I pulled her robe down her body, baring her full back to me for the first time. Her body jerked under me as she tried to turn back over, probably a reflex she’d developed since the event. “No.” My hand grabbed at her shoulder and pinned her firmly to the bed.

Breathing deeply and shakily, she gripped at the sheets and tugged at them for a moment before speaking. “Six times.”

It was a little sudden, and it took me a moment to realize she meant her scars after my eyes glanced carefully down her back and took count of the discoloration of her once smooth back.

A shaky breath in and out, she tilted her head back and looked at me with sad and weary eyes. “That’s how many times he stabbed me with a kitchen knife that broke at the tip with the fourth hit. Six times total. His messed up version of Russian Roulette he told me. I couldn’t fight him off, and I hate myself for it.”

Her hand reached out and grabbed one of mine, settling it on her upper back with a shudder. “It was our anniversary dinner at his place. He drugged my drink, and by the time I felt off and tried to escape, it was too late. I was so close to the door, but he pushed me to the ground on my stomach and held me there before forcing himself onto me and stabbing me when he was done using my body for his sick pleasure.”

Sobbing softly, she fisted the sheets as she squirmed a bit. “I should have been more careful. I hate how the memories don’t fade like the scars.”

Leaning down, I gently kissed each scar longingly, wanting the feeling to linger when my lips would be removed. “I don’t ever want to hear that you hate yourself for this. It was out of your control, darling, you have to accept that. None of it was ever your fault. You didn’t choose to be drugged, to be helpless, to let him stab you, none of it. You couldn’t have predicted any of it either. So, I don’t ever want to hear you blaming yourself for any of it ever again, understood?” When I find the bastard, he’ll wish he never touched a hair on her.

“Y-yes.” She whimpered under me, still trembling and struggling to get free of my grip.

Gripping her hair, I pulled her head back and traced the shell of her ear with the tip of my tongue. “The only thing you’re going to be able to think about whenever you get bent over is how amazing you feel coming undone around my cock. No more snapping at that little wristband of yours.” I’ll give her something much better to channel her attention to.

Easing some of my weight onto her, I kept her body pinned under mine as I parted her legs with my knee. “You’re so wet already, lisichka.” The dampness soaking through her panties was hard to go unnoticed, and the wet spot that formed on my sweatpants as I continued to press my knee against her arousal was damning evidence.

“Stay with me,lisichka.” I could see her eyes fading out, a telltale sign she would slip into an anxious state. Leaning back, I forced her up onto her hands and knees by her hair. Her whimpers filled the room when my hand came down on her marked ass.

Letting go of her hair, I shifted my hold down to the nape of her neck. With a firm yank, I turned her body around to face the end of the bed, still keeping her on all fours. “Look at yourself Angel, and don’t you dare take your eyes off. I want you to see how your body reacts as I replace those horrible memories with better ones.” I whispered deeply in her ear, keeping my eyes trained on her shivering reflection off the mirror of the dresser across the bed.

“Don’t.” I gave her nape a firm squeeze while jerking her when I saw the switch in her eyes. “You’re not there, you’re here, in our bed, safe with me.”
