My hand slid over the planes of his stomach and down inside his shorts. “It already has.”

“Fuuuuuck.” His head slammed back against the tree, making the branches above us shake. I latched onto his throat, sucking a mark into his smooth skin.Mymark.

“You like that?”

“You know I fucking do,” he rasped, tugging at the waistband of my shorts. When his fingers wrapped around my cock, it was my turn to moan. I couldn’t think when he was this close to me. All my perfectly rational reasons for staying away from him disappeared beneath his touch.

Burying my face in his throat, breathing in his delicious scent, I brought him right to the edge with my hand until he was a gasping, panting mess, his own hand movements uncoordinated and jerky as the pleasure took over. I was barely able to focus myself, surrounded by him, but I needed him to come first. I wanted to feel the proof of just how much I affected my mouthy, bratty teammate.

“Theo,” he whimpered, and I bit down on his throat just as I twisted my hand over the head of his cock. His body stiffened, and then he came, pulsing in my grip, his release coating my palm and my fingers.

My moan vibrated against his skin, my erection throbbing in his grip. I’d never been this desperate for anyone, had never found such pleasure in bringing pleasure to another person. When he sucked in a shuddering breath, his hand resuming its movements, I found myself spiralling towards the edge, tipping over when he rasped out my name in the sexiest tone I’d ever heard in my life.

“Staying away from you isn’t working.” His sigh was loud in the sudden silence.

“Were you trying to stay away?” I winced at the feel of my cum soaking the inside of my shorts as we made our way back to the path that led to our villa. Of course Jordan had managed to wipe his hand all over them, making the situation even worse.

“Walk faster. I need a shower and to get out of these shorts.” Breaking into a light jog, he pulled ahead of me, so I increased my pace to match his. When I drew level with him, he glanced over at me. “You know I was. You were, too. I couldn’t hold back from kissing you, but I thought…I thought it might be better if we didn’t take it any further.” He shook his head, huffing out a laugh. “I only managed to last three days. I’m not sure I like this effect you have on me, Lewin.”

“I didn’t do any better,” I reminded him. “And it’s the same for me. You of all people being the one to affect me this way—it’s extremely inconvenient and quite irritating.”

With a laugh, he elbowed me in the side, making me stumble, and when I shot him a glare, he sped up, racing up the path to the villa.

As we reached the villa, he lifted his arm to scan his wristband, and when the door unlocked, he stood aside to let me go first.

That small gesture made me warm all over. And even warmer when he said, “You can use the shower first.”

“You don’t want to join me?” As soon as the words fell from my lips, I regretted them. We shouldn’t be pushing this thing between us any further, especially when he’d just admitted that he’d been trying to stay away from me.

Jordan shook his head with a small smile. “I do…but I’m trying to, y’know, be sensible or whatever.”

“I don’t think I like you being sensible,” I admitted, and his smile widened. Darting forwards, he pressed a hard, quick kiss to my lips before moving out of my reach.

“I don’t like it either. But when you’re all…” He waved his hand up and down my body. “Fucking hot and distracting and all wet in the shower… Fuck. Just go. Before I end up mauling you or something.”

The conflicted look in his eyes was the only thing that gave me the strength to turn my back on him and enter the bathroom, closing the door behind me.

But when I was in the shower, all I could think about was him, and as I wrapped my hand around my cock and brought myself to the second orgasm of the evening, he was all that I saw.

JORDAN

Icame out of the shower to find Theo sitting on my bed, tracing his fingers over the leather cover of the notebook that Dr. Weaver had given to me. When he saw me, he snatched his hand away, a guilty expression appearing on his face.

“I didn’t look inside. I promise.”

I believed him. He was too moral to snoop around my private things. But I could tell that he wanted to ask about it, and for some reason, I wanted to share. I mean, most of the shit inside was about him, after all.

Taking a seat on the bed next to him, leaning back against the wall, our shoulders brushing, I held out my hand. “Pass it here.”

When he handed the notebook to me, I flipped it open, bypassing the page where I’d made my original list of people who were important to me, and found the page I wanted.

Theo Lewin

(my teammate/hated rival/pretentious wanker/nemesis)

“You get a whole section to yourself.” I showed him the page, and his brows flew up.
