“There’s something else we should be worried about.”

Conor and I both stared at our older brother, on the edge of our seats. What could be fucking that bad that we needed to worry more?

“Well?” I asked, impatiently.

He shoved a photo over to me. I grabbed it from the table and looked at it, shock filtering through my body as I looked down at the CCTV image of Ronan with a familiar looking woman.

“Amity.”

“Looks like Ronan and Amity are working together,” Lorcan said.

“Fuck,” I shoved the photo away from me and sat back in my chair. How the fuck could this happen?

“Where did they go?” Conor asked.

“Outside of Europe. We can’t touch him but I do have an alert on him. The second he returns to either England or Ireland, we’ll nab him.”

“And if he never returns?” Conor asked.

“He will,” I said. “He wants Ireland. Let him come and fucking try to take it off us.”

Lorcan nodded. “I have to go, I’ll see you all tomorrow. Killian, you may want to check on your businesses since you’ve been gone for so long.”

Lorcan left the estate and I turned to Conor for an explanation. Since when did Lorcan leave?

“Oh, you didn’t know?” Conor asked, standing up and chuckling. “Big bro has taken up with one of the whores he looks after.”

“From Sassy’s?”

“Either that or the Station X studios.”

When Lorcan took over the brothels, gentlemen clubs and the porn industry in Ireland, we’d all thought he would close them down. He wasn’t someone who openly flaunted his sex life, if he even had one, but instead, he’d turned them into steady streams of income for the family.

“That’s not like him.”

“It’s about time he got some,” Conor said. “Now, if you’ll excuse me. I’ll be with Tee.”

I nodded as he walked out of the room and left me alone. Lorcan was right. I’d left the businesses with my men to look after while I was gone. It was long past due that I visited and checked on them before they went to shit.

Amity and Ronan were going to have to wait.

The music pumpedhard as I looked out over the dancers below me. It was nice and quiet up on my balcony, and the club was still doing very well. It was still one of the most profitable businesses in our family. My mind hadn’t stopped thinking about Sloane and what she could potentially say.

I know I had left it up to her, but I was nervous she would walk away and I would have to move on without her. Obviously, I wouldn’t blame her for that decision but I couldn’t imagine not having those eyes looking into mine.

If she chose to walk away, I would die alone. There would never be another like her.

I slapped myself across the face to push the shit in my brain to get out. This was not Killian O’Farrell. The man people feared when I walked into a room. This was something Conor would be saying to himself.

Suddenly, I felt like I wasn’t alone on the balcony. I was about to get up when I felt the hands clasp around my neck, fingers running through my hair and pulling my head back. Sloane’s eyes met mine as I looked at her from upside down. Her lips were on mine as quick as I could move. I liked this forward Sloane, it was rare for her to come out but when she did. I would do pretty much anything for her.

She pulled away and let go of my neck. “I didn’t expect to be able to sneak up on you. You going soft, O’Farrell.”

She slid onto my lap, and straddled me, putting her arms around my neck.

“Around you, I’ll never be soft.”
