“It is when you have plans,” she added.

“What plans?” I asked. I was planning on taking her to a sunset dinner.

“I don’t like a vacation without an itinerary. And I love Napa. So, I planned an entire day for us,” she explained.

I laughed. “Who knew you were the romantic type? And here I was planning to take you to dinner!”

Rebecca laughed. “I took care of the daytime, and you took care of the night! Teamwork!” She shot me a dazzling smile. “I need to freshen up, and then I’ll be ready.” she said, heading for the bathroom.

I took advantage of her absence to check a few work emails. I didn’t want work to get in the way of our first weekend away, but I was still concerned about the Dover Project.

I groaned when I didn’t see any updates. Mr. Quinn still had not responded to Jonathan. I put my phone in my pocket. I would have to visit the shop for a friendly chat. However, I needed to think of a way to do it without coming across as strong-arm tactics.

My phone buzzed.

I pulled it out, hoping for an update, but I frowned at the message. It was from Taylor and Sasha—literally tits up writing a pithy message about how they missed me. I grit my teeth as I block their numbers.

"What was that?" Rebecca's voice startled me, and I turned to face her. She changed into a white T-shirt and a pair of black denim overalls. Her hair fell over her shoulders in a loose braid. She was already starting to get a tan. She looked gorgeous.

"Nothing." I pocketed my phone. "Work stuff."

She frowned.

I wrapped my arms around her. "Don't worry. Work will not get in the way of this weekend."

She smiled weakly. "This weekend is work. We have a networking event to attend tomorrow. I guess that will be our lives. It's my mom's life, and it was my grandmother's life."

"Are you having second thoughts?" I asked.

She pulled her bottom lip between her teeth. "No, I'm going to make the best of our arrangement."

She took my hand. "Starting with a relaxing day at this gorgeous resort."

I nodded. "Let's grab some lunch and explore."

She smiled. "Yes! I forgot to tell you. There’s someone I want you to meet. It’s my friend from high school and her husband. They live here during the winter. But they spend Spring and Summer in Boston,” Rebecca explained. I resisted the urge to grimace and make a joke about how I didn’t sign up for a high school reunion.

“Eloise and Tim McGuire,” she explained, waiting for me to put two and two together. Tim McGuire owns McGuire Realty, the biggest real estate company in the Boston area. I’ve been trying to get a meeting with him for seven months.

“Of McGuire Realty?” I exclaimed.

“The one and only.” Rebecca grinned as my jaw hit the floor.

“You’re a genius!” I exclaimed, wrapping my arms around her and pulling her in for a quick kiss.

“I know. But I have to warn you, Elle and Tim are pretty athletic. This won’t be your typical business lunch,” Rebecca explained.

“So, they like to golf? I can handle golf,” I insisted. Granted, it wasn’t my sport of choice, but golfing is a bit of a given when it came to business.

I watched the swell of Rebecca's breasts and the sway of her hips as we walked and talked. I couldn’t wait to spend a long night in our bedroom exploring every inch of her body.

Rebecca looked over at me with a mischievous grin, bringing me back to reality.

“Not exactly,” she said.

“Horses?” I exclaimed. We stood at the gate of a sprawling, burgundy barn located on the back property of the resort.

Rebecca nodded. It suddenly made sense why she changed into overalls and sneakers. Meanwhile, I was stuck in a button-down and slacks.
