I nod. “Okay,” I say, leaning against the wall. “What’s up?”

“I need…I think it might be better if we keep this between us.”

She’s right. I don’t want to keep this a secret and I’ve only just realized this as she asks me if we can keep this between us. “It’s not personal,” she continues. “Devon told me not to get involved and I should’ve listened to him. Your manager told you not to get involved with me too, right?”

My gut twists up.

She swallows. “I really like you,” she says, then cranes her neck back to look at Dom. “I like you both.”

There it is again. My gut twists once more. Why am I so jealous of this person? It felt perfectly fine last night. But then, it felt like the only way I could have her.

“But I don’t want things to get complicated with the band,” she says, wringing her hands on her lap. “And I…look, I had a lot of fun last night. I don’t regret it. But I’m hoping that we’re going to be able to keep this between us.”

“You won’t tell your bandmates?” Dom asks from behind her.

I swallow. “What makes you think I would?”

“You guys just seem like really good friends.”

“We are really good friends,” she says. “Which is why I shouldn’t have done this. This is a huge opportunity for us and I’m…I’m an idiot.”

Dom inches close to her.

“You won’t tell Misha, will you?” she asks, turning to look at him.

“No,” he says. “He’s paying me to protect his girlfriend, not to tell him about my sex life.”

“And I have no one to tell except Londyn. She doesn’t have to know. She’s my manager, not my mom.”

“Okay. So we agree to keep it a secret,” Alana says.

“Yes,” Dom replies. “What does that mean for us?”

He leans his face against her shoulder, smiling as he breathes hard against her skin.

“It doesn’t mean anything for us,” Alana says, her breath hitching a little as she does. “What kind of question is that?”

“I was hoping you said it would allow us to give you pleasure whenever you want,” he says. “You can have us whenever. We don’t have to tell anyone. And we’re on call.”

I haven’t spoken to him about this, but that sounds fantastic to me. It’s kind of hot that he’s there, but I want to talk to her, just…her. Because I want her all for me.

Alana closes her eyes tightly. “I can’t,” she says. She looks up at Dom again and then turns to me. “I can’t get involved with either of you right now. No matter how fun it is. I’m supposed to be thinking about the band, not…dick.”

I can’t help but snicker at that.

Alana glares at me. “It’s not funny. I need to know you’re going to keep this between the three of us.”

“You have my word,” I say.

“And mine,” Dom says. “And particularly if you want to do this again, I promise I’ll keep my mouth shut.”

“Next time, you’ll have to take me out on a real date,” Alana says. “An elevator won’t do.”

“Fine,” he says. “How about this? I’ll take you to a Javi concert.”

They both laugh, and once again, my stomach churns.

Alana
