I know exactly what she’s trying to tell me, but I want to hear it from her lips. “You own me, Kyle. It’s my job to make you happy.”

“Because of a contract?” I ask.

“Well, yeah,” she replies.

I could be pissed off at her for those words, but she’s not completely wrong. Even if she’s dead fucking wrong at the same time. It’s my job to prove to her that this isn’t just about the contract—it’s about so much more.

“Fuck the contract,” I state. “This is now about you and me. You make me happy by being you. I want to see what else is inside of you, Piper. I want to know all of you.”

She stares at me with parted lips, and instead of waiting for her to say something, I lift my head slightly and touch my mouth to hers. I don’t want to hear a goddamn thing right now, unless it’s those little whimpers and sounds she makes when I fuck her.

That’s all.

Nothing else matters.

ITCH

The shop isn’tbusy today, mainly because everyone is still reeling from Legacy’s suggestion of going legit. I can’t blame them. It’s certainly an idea. I’m just not sure that running a custom car shop is going to make us the income we need.

Unless we get some massive jobs and clients, which is possible since we live outside of Phoenix but still un-fucking-likely.

I run my fingers through my hair with a heavy sigh. It’s nice being alone in here. This is my favorite fucking place. I love my club, and I’m starting to love my home, too. I like being around Piper, but this is my love. Using my hands to create shit. Even if it’s just for drug transportation, I feel like I’m a little useful when I’m here.

The door opens, and I lift my head, turning to look over as Agony walks into the room. He clears his throat as he approaches me. For a man who is so fucking quiet all the time, it seems as if he’s had quite a bit to say recently, so I’m all ears.

“Got approval to do a pickup from my contact. He’s got enough and willing to sell it to us for the same price.”

“Nice. Legacy approved?”

He jerks his chin in a nod. “Need someone to go with me. Want to go on a ride?”

“In a cage?” I ask.

He snorts. “Got my truck out front. Come on, you can tell me all about the bullshit you pulled with Raul and Dutch.”

Arching a brow, I stand and shove my phone into my pocket before I turn toward him and speak. “I thought you didn’t want to know shit about that?”

He shrugs a shoulder. “Guess since we’re probably going legit, it doesn’t matter.”

Letting out a laugh, I follow him as we make our way out of the warehouse and to his pickup truck. “Fucked up some coke so it would ruin their business and wouldn’t blow back on us,” I simply state.

That is the long and short story of the whole goddamn thing.

He whistles as we both climb into the cab. He slides the key into the ignition, then turns his head slightly, cocking it to the side as his eyes find mine.

“Good fucking plan.”

Personally, I like to think that it is. “We’ll see. I haven’t heard shit about it, and it’s been days.”

He doesn’t say anything right away as he drives across town. It doesn’t surprise me that this is where we’re headed. This is kind of the shit side of town, where drugs are plentiful.

When we’re at a stoplight, Agony turns toward me, his gaze finding mine, and he smirks. “They aren’t going to tell you right away. First, they’re going to try to figure out what actually happened. They’ll probably go through all their men, interrogate them, kill a few in the process, then they’ll think that they put two and two together and go after the supplier. It’s a good plan.”

My lips twitch into a smirk. “Since we can’t kill him or Dutch, I figured ruining their operation financially was probably the smartest way to go about this shit.”

“Good idea,” Agony snorts. “Great idea, actually. I like it.”
