My body begins to tremble, and I’m seconds away from falling apart in his arms, when he nuzzles my neck and groans against my skin.

"Say my name," he demands.

His words are muffled, but I hear them clearly. So clearly that I also take in the tone. It’s just a hint of it, but it’s there. He begs me. He’s begging me to say his name, and I do—I do because I’m falling for this man.

When he comes, it’s on a moan. He stills inside of me, filling me with his release. He stays there for a moment while we both pant. Then he lifts his head, and his eyes find mine. When he’s satisfied with whatever he sees, he gently pulls out of me and sets me down on the shower floor, my feet flat on the warm tile.

“Hurry and get ready. I’m sure Reese will be here soon.”

When Reese arrives about half an hour later, she sees Itch sitting at the bar, a cup of black coffee in his hand and a smile on his face. She rolls her eyes to the ceiling and lets out a heavy sigh.

“Okay, now that everyone has kissed and made up, let’s get to work,” she mumbles.

“Have you, though?” Itch asks. “With Agony?”

Her back stiffens, and she spins around, narrowing her gaze, and shoots him a glare. “There is nothing to kiss and make up when it comes to him. We aren’t anything.”

She says those words, but the way she does, I know they’re a damn lie. Because I would say that about Itch, and it would be a lie.

As much as I want to believe that we aren’t more than we are, that I don’t care about this girl claiming to be pregnant with his child… we most definitely are, and I am very upset.

ChapterTwenty-Five

ITCH

“I am tooold for this shit,” I grunt as I remove the door from the car.

Agony lets out a bark of laughter. “You’ve got a woman more than half your age. I thought that shit was supposed to make you younger?” he asks.

I snort, shaking my head. “Probably, except I got this shit added to my plate,” I say, digging my phone out of my pocket and tossing it across the room to him.

Agony catches my device, then looks at the screen, and I know when he sees all the missed calls and texts from Tempt. His brows lift, and then his gaze finds mine. “You got yourself a bunny boiler.”

“I really fucking do. I have to talk to Duke about this shit,” I grind out.

There is a moment of silence. He goes back to my phone and reads all the text messages, then whistles and tosses the device back to me. “That’s a problem.”

“One that I want no fucking part of.”

“You know, I think they can get DNA of an unborn baby these days,” he casually announces.

Looking down at my phone, I research that exact thing. It’s true. I thought it couldn’t be done, or that if it was, it would be dangerous, but as I scan the clinic pages, I discover it’s not. In fact, it’s non-invasive.

“Life would be a hell of a lot easier if this bitch would go for it,” I mutter.

The door to the shop opens, and all thoughts of DNA and babies diminish as Legacy and Roadkill enter the room. Arching a brow, I watch as they make their way toward me and Agony. They stop just a few feet away, their arms crossed over their chests.

“We got a project car for you to work on,” Legacy announces.

“Project car?” I ask when he doesn’t elaborate.

He nods once, his gaze finding mine again quickly before he speaks. “I am serious about wanting to go legitimate. I know it’s going to be a hard and long road, but this is what the club needs. It would make shit a lot easier in a lot of ways.”

“And harder in others,” Agony grunts.

“And harder in others,” Legacy agrees. “But let’s try this one ride, see what we can accomplish.”

Turning my attention toward Agony, I jerk my chin. “Let’s do it.”
