The D/s will participate in limited D/s interactions. Luciano De Santos will be in control in the bedroom, in all kink clubs, and in all safety issues. The D/s will share a bed each night and will not sleep apart if it is helped.

The contract includes many sections numbered with my hard limits, and his. Items like clauses, safewords, boundaries, roles, scene instructions, punishments, and rewards are all covered. I’ve even agreed to work slowly at exhibitionism because I’ve come to find out I love watching others. Who knows, maybe I’ll like people watching me.

“This is a rather precise contract, Mr. De Santos,” I tease, a flirt in my voice.

His brows arch at the understanding that this will be a negotiation between us. And when all is said and done, three hours later, Luciano De Santos becomes my Dom. But with Luca, nothing is ever that easy. He pulls out a long thin jewelry case and pops it open.

“As a sign that you belong to me, and I’ll protect you, I’d be honored if you wore this, at all times.”

The necklace is white gold, and it’s a simple but elegant chain. On it is the name he calls me, with forever next to it. How can I say no to this man? “I’d be honored to wear it.” And once he places it around my neck, I know I’ll never take it off.

“Luc?” I ask as he brings his face back to my line of sight.

“Yeah, baby girl?”

“You know, right, what this is between us?”

“I think I do, Heaven, as long as you knowwhat this is between us.”

I cup his face with my hands. “I do, and I never want it to end.”

And that is how we declare our love for one another.

“I’ve never brought a girl home to meet my parents before, Heaven.” He reaches over the console of his Porsche, sliding his hand up and down my thigh. I love it when it’s just the two of us and he drives instead of his chauffeur.

“Why tell me this? Are you trying to make me more nervous than I already am?”

He moves my hand to his lips to kiss it. “No, not at all. I’m trying to calm you. Mom has given up on me, thinking I’d never settle down. Believe me, she’s going to love you.”

“Why is it that you’ve never dated?”

He lets out a long sigh. “It’s a question I’ve always refused to answer, but it’s not because I didn’t know the answer.” He pauses. “I thought I was broken, incapable of forming feelings for any woman. I cared for their needs, but it never exceeded a Dom/sub dynamic. When I first saw you at the wedding, I had immense emotions I’d never experienced. I was going to let it go after I woke up with you gone, but when my eyes fell on your face, I knew it wasn’t merely a coincidence, but the heavens giving us another chance.”

He pulls up to a circular driveway an hour out of town. If I thought the Dungeon Elite was impressive, it has nothing on this estate. Columns around the front of the house make it look like the Parthenon. Lights illuminate the unique garden beds, still red, orange, and yellow from fall.

“Why didn’t you ever tell me this?” I pull at his arm to gain his attention. “You attempt to come across as this asshole of a man, but there’s a tender side to you.”

“You bring it out in me. I’m a softy for only two other women, and they happen to be in my childhood house.”

Oh, my heart. He’s a mama’s boy, and why does this make me smile? “Okay, then let’s go meet your family.”

He parks the car in front of the steps, and I wait, as he likes. He moves around, helping me out of his car. In a form-fitting long-sleeve Vera Wang cocktail dress and matching one-inch pumps, he extends his arm and we climb the steps. The door swings back, and it’s his sister. I’ve only met Isabel Marcos once, but I recognize a tear-stained face when it’s right in front of me.

“Isa.” I hear a faint Italian accent I’d never picked up on before. “What’s wrong?” He cups her face, inspecting it as if it’ll tell him something. “You hurt? Oh, is it…”

“No, silly,” she chides, smacking him playfully. “I was laughing really hard at a joke, then I started coughing, then choking, and well here I am, looking as if I cried.”

“Are you sure?”

Luca has told me he worries his sister’s cancer will return. Fear isn’t something I’ve ever seen in Luca before, except when he admitted how hard it had been to watch Isabel fight for her life. I didn’t miss how he hid the tears that had formed in his eyes during our conversation.

“Yes, big brother, I’m sure,I’m fine.Anyway, enough about me.” She turns her attention to me, but in Luca’s resolve, I think he doesn’t believe her. “Hey, Anisten. It’s nice to meet you again. In case you forgot, I’m Isabel Marcos.” She brings me in for a hug. “I can’t believe my big brother is letting us all meet a girl, finally. That tells me you’re special.”

Luca is quiet, and I turn my attention toward him. “I don’t believe you, Isabel Mary, not for one second that you weren’t crying.” He hasn’t let his suspicions go.

She ignores him, coming around to my side and linking our arms together. “I’m so sorry, Anisten. I’m not sure if he was dropped on his head as a baby to make him so irritable, but you seem to bring out the best in him. He’s almost bearable tonight.”
