My phone chimed in my pants where I’d left them on the floor.

“Want me to check that?”

“Sure.”

Ash retrieved the phone and looked at it. “Adina?” He asked.

Oh, shit. In all the chaos, I hadn’t even thought about Pavilion since that night I left Craig at the concert. I’d missed at least three of the nights I normally danced there. Since I wasn’t on the regular payroll, they wouldn’t be mad at me. But Adina and the others would be concerned.

“Who’s Adina?”

I pressed my lips together. “Sometimes I dance at this club called Pavilion. The company doesn’t like it. She’s one of the other dancers. I’ve missed some nights since all this started. They probably think I’m dead.”

Asher’s eyes flared with interest. “What kind of dancing?”

“It’s a circus themed club. There’s all kinds. Aerialists, which my grandmother didnotinspire. The rest, you’d just have to see.”

“You’re supposed to go tonight?”

I counted the days in my head and stretched my hand out for the phone. “Yeah. I’ll cancel.”

“Don’t do that. If you wanna dance, we’ll go with you.”

My eyes flicked to Roman. All he did was smile. He would go. They all would. The idea of dancing with all of them…forall of them? When Ash handed me the phone, I didn’t tell Adina I was canceling. Instead, I told her I’d be there.

Then I texted Petra.

CHAPTER THIRTY-SEVEN

________

SLOANE

Pavilion was packed.

Walking in the front of the club was different for me, but we were on the list, and I wanted my pack to have the full experience of entering.

Lights pulsed along with the music, Adina was already in the air, and fog poured from the cannons to make everything feel hazy under the draped ceiling of the faux big top. Bodies writhed on the dance floor, the vague floral scent of cancellers in the air. It did nothing to stop my Alphas’ scents from wrapping around me as we moved through the club toward the VIP alcove I reserved for them.

Right where they could see me dance on one of the veiled pedestals. Adina had worked her magic, making sure that one was saved for me. They hadn’t even seen what I was wearing beneath my coat, other than the sparkly tights and the dark high heels that were likely to break my ankles.

I pulled aside the curtains in front of the alcove and tied them back, turning to where Gabriel stood behind me. “You’re sure you don’t mind me dancing here?”

“Little one, as long as you’re safe, you could dance anywhere and I wouldn’t mind. If you wanted to dance on top of the dumpsters in the alley, I’d watch you.”

“What about SCB?”

“What about it?” Leaning down, he gripped my hips and reversed our places so he was closer to the table. “Ballet is not the only kind of dance, nor is it the only respectable one. As long as you can do both comfortably, I think I’m going to enjoy the show.”

They’d left their coats at the door, and the sight of Gabriel in a black button-down, sleeves rolled to the elbows was a welcome one. He sat, spreading his arms along the back of the booth and stared at me like he was daring me to show him exactly what kind of show he was going to enjoy.

Roman sat, and then Ash. Jace took the last seat on the other side, a hand snaking around my waist. “You finally going to show us what you’re hiding under there, baby girl?”

My lips curled into a smile. “Maybe.”

They were quite possibly going to kill me when they saw it, and it would be worth every extra spanking I earned by wearing it out of the house. That, or they were going to love it so much they took me straight home to the nest.

I untied the coat and handed it to him, revealing the smallest pair of black dance shorts I owned. They were more ass than short, combined with the sparkly tights made my legs look fucking incredible.
