He kissed me, and I could have kissed him forever. But I had more rings, and I wanted them all on.

I went to the box, and it was easy to see who had picked what. Roman’s ring was larger, a cool, darker metal, with the same engravings. This time I approached him. “I should kneel, firefly.”

“Don’t do that. I don’t need you on your knees. All the time, at least.” I winked, and his grin spread so wide, his happiness struck so deep, I had to smile back at him.

The awe I felt when the ring slid on wasn’t a feeling I deserved, but I savored it regardless, knowing I would never take the kind of love they gave me for granted.

“Going to enjoy waking you up with this ring, firefly.”

“And how are you going to do that?”

He smirked. “While it’s on my finger. Inside you.”

I flushed with heat. Being woken up by him any way he chose was fine with me, and he knew it.

“Blue.”

Turning, Ash knelt in front of me. My heart stuttered, the sight taking me off guard. Never in my wildest dreams had I ever imagined Asher West on one knee in front of me with a ring in his hand, and I would never forget it.

His ring was a pale silver closer to mine.

Like he’d read my mind, he stopped me before I took the ring from him. “I imagined this so many times, Sloane. How I’d do it and what I’d say. The look on your face right now is more than I ever imagined.”

Emotion stole my voice, but I found it just enough to whisper, “I love you,” before I slid his ring home. Right over the tattoo. His ring that could never come off.

Gabriel handed me his ring—a warmer tone, nearly rose gold—and kissed me before I found his finger, not letting me breathe until it was firmly in place. He put my other ring back on, my new one thin enough for them both to fit. I decided at that moment I was never taking either of them off. Not unless I had to.

“I’m going to fuck all of you with nothing but those rings on,” I said, breaking the moment and all of us falling into laughter.

“Only if it’s the same for you, firefly.”

“It’s fucking freezing out here,” I said. “Take me inside, warm me up, and I’ll be shedding my clothes in no time.”

Roman picked me up and carried me into the house, the others scrambling to put out the fire, gather cups, blankets, and everything else we’d left. I managed to spot a very sleepy Mango passed out on top of the refrigerator, exactly where Ash said he would be, and smiled to myself.

At the entrance to the nest, Roman put me down, only long enough for us both to shed our clothes down to our rings before he spread me out on the velvet. He kissed me while we waited for the rest of our pack.

The idea came to me without warning, and I blurted it out. “Will you draw me a firefly?”

His eyebrows rose in shock. “If you want me to. Why?”

“Ash is getting a tattoo. I thought I might get one too.”

Roman’s eyes went wide. Then he was kissing me so hard and so deep my mind went utterly blank. “Yes,” he murmured between kisses. “Yes.”

“Starting without us?” Jace asked, stripping.

“Not quite,” I managed a full breath, but butterflies still flew around in my stomach. Everything felt new and bright and different, even though this was who we were and what we’d have forever.

They all stepped into the nest with me, and I sat up, tears blurring my eyes. “I love you. So much. I never want to miss a chance to say it, and it… it feels important.”

Gabriel’s hand came behind my neck and he kissed me, one of them after the other until I was breathless and dizzy from all of them at once, their murmured words whispering across my skin and painting me with love in more ways than one. We sank down together into pleasure and purrs until we were spent. Tangled together.

Happy.

It took me a while, but this was where I belonged, and I was never running away from it again.
